He needs to be given spells in the game. He too important to risk 80 mins every week
100% the amount of kick pressure he puts on too. Like it’s all effort. Shouldn’t be playing over 70 mins to be honest to manage him.

He looked gassed late and made 2 handling errors in that time. But maybe the critta cramp threw cirros planned rotation. But yeh. I’d rather him and presto not being gassed late in the game especially with a bench full of back rowers.

Why come out and tell all your opposition of your injuries?? Keep it in house, manage it, shut up and get on with it. It obviously is manageable and he isn't retiring or anything like that so he is good to go unless we are told otherwise. I'll tell you now when some players are out injured, the club tells a bullshit story of where the injury is so the actual injury area isn't advertised to opposition and exposed. Be smarter ffs!!!
Unless they know the process to medically retire a player via events in the media showing the injury was real. I hope I am wrong, but they may have been hatching a plan to address this issue so the Club can avoid salary cap issues if they retire him early. Very sad if true.

Wants to be carefull with this one???

Bulging discs and herniations at the lower back are most common at the L4–L5 segment or at the level. The L4–L5 is located at your beltline. It is responsible for 95% bending or twisting movements involving your waist. Because they perform load-bearing functions, which support the upper bodies, this segment is the most heavily loaded. Because of the excess stress it is subject to, the L4–L5 section is often a site for spinal disc bulges. This article will explain the L4–L5 spinal segment in detail. It will help you to understand your condition and how you can recover without having to undergo surgery or inject any drugs.

A common reason for chronic and acute lower back pain (backaches), is the L4–L5 spinal segment. A L4-L5 bulge in the disc can cause sciatic-like symptoms by impinging nerves running down the legs. A pinched nerve can be caused by a slipped disc. A L4–L5 disc bulge (or slip-disc) in the L4-L5 region can cause severe health issues such as impotence and reproduction issues. It can also lead to infertility, loss or control of the bowel or bladder, paralysis in one or both of your legs, and even death. A pinched nerve can occur at the L4–L5 levels due to bone-spurs (spondylosis), or ligament thickening (“hypertrophy of ligamentum flavum”).
No doctor that knows anything about backs will refer to it as a "slipped disc". I have been told this by MANY doctors.

Can potentially share more of the load with Sitili or Sitili starts and Kiks comes on for impact lessening his workload. Silver lining here is he wants to contribute and nevertheless, our backrow/edge stocks are quite good

Been great for us Kikau, but I think 2026 may well be his last season with us.
If he were to go, I'd replace him with Junior Nsemba, not off contract until like 2030, so transfer fee would be needed.

Plenty of talent off contract at the same time like; Haas, D.Fifita, Koloamatangi, Galvin, Kini and B.Brailey.

Yeah it's just a pain management injury. It can get worse though so he needs to make sure he recovers properly.

We are stacked with 2nd rowers atm, but none of those 2nd rowers bring what he brings on both sides of the field.
I don’t recommend he plays hurt or in pain but obviously what I think is irrelevant, he will do what he wants but I hope he doesn’t suffer by being loyal.

As for players not doing what he does. Maybe not, but we saw how good Sitili can be and he could easily slot in there. He brings some different qualities. Hayes has a high ceiling too, so I wouldn’t be concerned if he had to retire early or something, but I would prefer it didn’t happen as I love having him in the team.

Feels good to have depth for once doesn't it
