Bulldogs aim to improve in attack

The experts rated Mbye, Woods, etc...but TK said they were shit? Bloke is the golden boy, I'd probably have sex with him if I stared into his eyes too long, same as a few other kennel members
True but both rep players. Defence aside I see Lewis has a lot of time but needs to improve numerous aspects of his game significantly. I just don’t think he’s as bad as you and Berries make out

I haven't heard too many experts praise Lewis on his actual play in the halves its always his defence or his tenacity and competitiveness like the run in with Burgess that get the comments.

The defence and and tenacity is great if it's paired with getting the basics right at halfback or five eighth and at the minute that is lacking.
I’ve definitely noticed that but also heard praise like him being a gun, a player of the future, one the bulldogs shouldn’t lose etc. My last post gives my personal opinion of him mate

I’m definitely willing to give him another year mainly due to his defence and tenacity. He had a little bit of second album syndrome in 2019 along with ups and downs of injury, being dropped and becoming a dad - a challenging year. He’s a year older and hopefully wiser for the time and let’s hope he clicks up a gear in 2020.

Because you lot fawn over him. Dead average with the ball in hand.

Seriously..? You should read comments properly and not just back hand with a flog comment like that. I have never blown smoke up his ass other than to say I think he has value and we should have him in the team. But you on the other hand, dismiss anyone's positive comments about him like you are the worlds leading expert on halves and dump everyone else in your own weird little Lewis porn movie...

If he flops next year and is dropped and everyone gets to see that "The Rex Mossop of Millennial's" (Sancho2020's) unrelenting fiery criticism and judgment was right and Lewis really is shit..., well Im sure you will bake yourself a cake and celebrate.

But if you are wrong....

He's not bad, he's just not a half. I wanted him to get the chance and called for him to get a go before a lot of people on here, but I've still been disappointed with his complete lack of development. The same deficiencies in his game that existed 5 years ago are still there.

The spine right now is just far too important, and for us with a spine that is already lacking in terms of ball running, ball playing and just all round general playmaking, we simply can't afford to waste anymore time otherwise this season will be nothing but a repeat of the last two.

Like I said in a previous post, Lewis should go back and watch Wade Graham's career path and development. Graham despite making his debut early was constantly in and out of the side because he couldn't nail down the role in the halves, fast forward a few years and he's now considered one of the better backrowers in the game.

If I'm wrong then that means Lewis made the required improvements and the dogs are successful.. so yh I don't really care if I'm wrong, just don't see it being likely.

But don't discount the advantage of points for and against. It comes in handy if we tie for a top spot.

Absolutely! But winning a game 6-2 brings exactly the same for-and-against, as a 46-42 win, which is partly my point. People keep harping on "we need to score more points!", when allowing less points accomplishes exactly the same thing, albeit "less sexily"...

And thats how the coaching staff and club see it too Marley. Your correct imo.
A one year contract for about 110 grand he got. Hardly a player the club is trying to lock up.

I'm really hoping Deano gives Smith a go in the centres..... Okunbor has shown that he can handle the top grade and Reimis with more ball can only be a good thing

Throw a 1.8 mill 3 yr deal at folau with origin incentives. Play him at centre to start.
For ateam that has the worst attack in the comp would be a masterstroke

No thanks. Leaving aside that the NRL won’t register a contract for him - we’re building a squad who believe in each other to get back to the top. We don’t need egos ruining that. Employ him and the next thing you know there’s a social media post and you’ve got a scandal with the Terrorgraph all over us. We don’t need the distraction, especially as we’re looking to lock down a major sponsor.

I wouldn't mind a court room punch up between him and the NRL, he can afford good lawyers and I'm pretty confident he would prevail in the end. RA gave up because they knew they couldn't win, the NRL would quickly realise the same. Can't discriminate against a person on religious grounds and you can't ban someone for quoting a book. Bugger me if I know how they can claim inclusiveness then exclude someone because of their beliefs, hypocrites.

His teammates, particularly the islanders, love him, and we have a few players with similar religious inclinations. Personally I have seen no evidence of him having an ego any bigger than any other professional sportsman. They all have healthy ones, otherwise they wouldn't survive. Wouldn't mind sticking it up tomorrow's fish wrappings.

Napa to train the team for a couple of days and pass on Trent Robbo's strategy's like a spy.
What does Robbo do that Pay hasn't?

Groundhog day.... or should I say Bulldog day

Everyone has and is entitled to their views on this topic. I personally see it quite differently - but no need to get into that here.
The only relevant question for The Kennel is - is Folau the right fit for the Bulldogs? My answer is no.
