I had no idea that it was that serious.

Hope for a speedy recovery.

What does a spleen do for you anyway? What functions for the body does it perform?
Well said Stoofy.

Unfortunately for Goodwin, the news of his predicament was sidelined, so to speak, by the acquisition of Krisnan Inu.

Bryce is a champion and great clubman. Get better soon Bryce.

Good luck with recovery champ, looking forward to seeing you out there again later in the year and continue building on a significantly improved year so far.

Poor bloke. Sure has a bit of competition for a backline spot, but can't q his effort or commitment to the club.

Get well soon Bry.

I feel sorry for Bryson..

he seems to be the scapegoat for our losses this year...rightly or wrongly

the abuse he cops on twitter from some "supporters" is not right

That's what amazed me. Don't you have something like 6L in your whole circulatory system? And a third of that has basically leaked out into his body cavity? Bloody hell. Poor lad.

Anyone else have the feeling this could just about kill any chance Bryson has of playing first grade NRL ever again?

Yes, I'm absolutely certain that even the negative people on here wish you a speedy recovery and the opportunity to remake your life successfully at the end of it. The timing couldn't be worse for you and you have been a loyal bulldog good luck. Make it back and show them all!

i dont know about him, but an injury like this, is something that would convince me not play on anymore. imagine ur first game back, a strong fend, shove or hit or shoulder charge to your chest... man i feel for him because his footy career is his livlihood and would be hoping to play again.

Wishing him a speedy recovery and that he rests up his body. credit to him for the positive mindset and committment to play on and his love of our club..

Makes you really admire players such as Bryson or brent tate who come back from career threatening injuries ( tate has had 3 knee reconstructions)

I had a sook when i did my acl once and i'm not even an nrl player

Don't think he'll be back unless we get an injury.

Inu has done more in one game than Bryson could ever hope to in his career

It has left the career of the off-contract winger in jeopardy. He had more than two litres of blood in his stomach when he arrived at Concord Hospital late last Monday night, the result of his torn spleen.

What they failed to mention was that 1 1/2 litres of that was calf's blood that Dessie had been handing out to players before the game!! :p

Seriously though, here's hoping he has a speedy recovery and gets back on the paddock again this year!
