This hopefully leads to Paulo or rcg wanting out asap for us!
Are they any good anymore? I honestly don't rate them, especially the brokeback mountain guy.

I've been saying for years that while Parra are coached by Arthur, they will NEVER win a comp.

They've persevered with him for longer than they should've, maybe because he's a nice bloke but nice blokes don't win comps, he's a Reserve Grade coach at best.

Parra had and still have a reasonable squad, but they like us are down 2 or 3 quality players to be any chance of breaking their premiership drought. I'd like to have a dollar for every time I've heard pre-season, for the last 10 to 20 years "this is Eels year".

Maybe now he's gone and while they'll most likely elevate TB to interim coach for the rest of this season, which effectively is the end of their season, which it already was, but with TB at the helm that's like the final nail in the coffin for Eel's fans this year.

Def aging now. They look quite good with Moses, yet not so much without him. Be risky, I’d take Moses over anyone in that team
I can't stand Bitchell, but I'd sign him and just won't cheer for him, like I did with Ennis lol

Wouldn't be surprised if Gutherson leaves the club at the end of next season, which is the last year of his contract with the Eels. I remember when he signed with the Eels from Manly, he said he always wanted to play under Brad Arthur and that was his reason for signing with them.

Fookers gotta finger point and heads gotta roll, even if its the wrong head.

Someone probably already beat me but just here to say TRENT BARETT IS A HEADCOACH AGAIN HAHAHAHA. Round 14 is shaping up to be a big one
If we lose to Flanagan and Tbaz as head coaches this forum will crash

I disagree.
I feel he (and Parra) have been unlucky to not make 2 other GFs in his time....

Dont get me wrong, i enjoy seeing them fail to win a GF year after year.... But you'd have to be completely ignorant to think they weren't a contender for most of the last 5 years...

Its not easy to win a GF. You first need to be a top 4 team and then you need your key players healthy and in form. Probably need abit of luck (or in the case of Parra) avoid bad luck.

They were within a whisker of GFs and currently decimated with key injuries. Very much a panic decision IMO unless they jave a big fish in mind

None of those guys make sense.

Parra is not going shithouse because of the coach. They are suffering injuries to 2 of their most influential players. They are spine players and leaders of the team.

No team can last without 2 key spine leaders out for extended periods.

Parra is literally 3 wins from getting their season back on track. They have Moses returning soon.

I cant imagine the board is sacking Arthur for one of these untried guys and think they'll improve. Just doesnt make sense to me.
They weren’t exactly on fire with Bitchel and Queen though

Id take him.
He's a true leader. Very high IQ player and holds his team accountable.

One of the few non-bulldog players id take in a heartbeat.

Correct, Parra likely win one if Penrith weren’t such a juggernaut. All of those teams were unlucky to come up against them

I have always been unashamedly a Skelator fan. His record speaks for itself and physically and mentally he looks like he could still be top of his game 10 years from now.

He has long said he wants to be the first to coach 3 clubs to premierships. That’s why I really thought Parramatta were a real shot of getting him. Their roster is better, they have an awesome home ground and haven’t won the comp since 1986.

Parramatta came out weeks ago saying they had no interest in Bennett and now they are saying they unsuccessfully have tried wooing him for the last 3 weeks.

South’s came out straight after they sacked JD that they have already been I talks with Bennett, so why has he still not signed?

The best possible result would be to see Bennett go back to South’s only to realize that it is a huge mistake and instead of winning a comp they capitulate again. Meanwhile Parra go back to the cycle of getting a new coach every 2 years and a new board every 3… Win Win I reckon.

He is also great at manipulating the referees

I still say I won't be shocked if Skeletor goes to Parra at the last second for more money
He'd be mad not to go there. I honestly believe he's a better chance of doing something with that squad...but on the other hand, I want them to be shit.

I hate both scum teams but I'd rather work with Bitchell/Queen than Fatrell/Wanker.

Should sign him as an assistant and pinch his son Matt Arthur. Can run him at #9 in future and keep Hayward long term #14.

Bennett seems to only succeed with teams which already have star power in them.
