This made me lol, maybe cause my 1st born baby boy has just come into the world.. But just for shits and giggles would like to see someone put together a pokemon footy team and list their attributes to justify their position; I might need to brush up on my pokeman caricatures
Japan had pokemon as their world cup mascots.

Probably the wron fn thread and shoot me for being a conspiracy theorist but I don't think morris is properly injured at all. Well not enough to be out of origin anyway. Daley didn't want him in the first place. Was practically forced into it in game 1. This helps him and especially morris save face from being dropped.
I thought the same thing when Ricky Stuart retired. Fake an injury to save face from being dropped .

brett was virtually injury free when he was on the wing for an extensive period of time. then all of a sudden, des puts him at fb and he gets 2 major injuries in 15 months.

that should answer your question as to whether hes fit to play at fb.

He also played fb at the dragons and couldn't handle it...he then moved back to the wing lol. We paid stupid money for a 28 year old winger because Des thought he could turn him into a fb...and now the team is worse off because of it.

well thats the other aspect of it, yes. but that aside, hes just too late in his career to be making such changes esp. as a specialist role like fullback.

Hopoates played majority of his first grade career in the centres and brett was player of the year last year from fullback hardly an experiment they're both very capable of playing those positions

Bret a World Class Winger at Dragons State and Country for God Knows how long but Fullback would be his preferred position?!?!?!

And Im sure they are both capable of playing in those positions doesn't mean it's the right choice

I'm not having a go at you but that's just not true. BMoz played a few games at fullback but Steve Price replaced him at fullback because he felt Nightingale was the better ball player. It had nothing to do with fitness and more the fact that Dragons team didn't have a lot of points in them.

For what it's worth we could potentially have Hoppa drop back for kick returns and BMoz play fullback in attack.

They both good fullbacks, just unsure if this is the game to be switching it up for the first time

He couldn't handle the fullback role, simple as that. He said he struggled with the fitness himself, couldn't care less what that dud price said. And why would you rotate fullbacks like that? Hoppa is better in BOTH attack and defence.

It worked for the Roosters swapping Mini and RTS to a minor premiership.

I remember him saying my version of events and I'm sure I can dig up an article somewhere. He also wanted to stay wing for his representative ambitions. I wouldn't say he couldn't handle it either. He was awesome at times last year. Knee injuries are a part of sport and sometimes it has nothing to do with fitness.

Mini and RTS was completely different. RTS was learning the fb role while increasing his workload. He added the finesse close to the line that Mini couldn't. There is absolutely no need for us to do that. Hoppa is simply a better fb, we shouldn't even need to debate this. Let Morris have a lil more freedom on the wing like a Holmes, but that is it. Bretts injuries are clearly related to his move to fb.

RTS played fullback all through the juniors. It was purely tactical for them to be switching. Plenty of teams have done it in the past.
Anyway we don't need to debate it because Des will decide who he thinks is the better fb. I'd be very surprised if BMoz plays on the wing. Hoppa's form has just been a bonus while Brett has been out.

It wasn't just tactical, it was to ease him into the role. Look at Mitchel at the Roosters now, I bet they wish they had an experienced fb to help him out? Probs why they bought Gordon i guess.

Des won't put the best fb at fb, he will put who HE wants to play fb. He showed us with Williams that he will do what he wants for as long as possible.
