How does Wilson go at centre? If he goes alright, I suspect if he keeps playing like today he isn’t far off replacing Xerri. As much as I love Xerri and can’t point to anything he’s done wrong, he seems to have plateaued a bit in the last month and it might be worth giving him a stint in NSW Cup to get some pace and attacking confidence back.

He's solid, and has great footwork, but there's no place for him when Fox returns.

That's not to say Fox needs to improve - particularly coming out of his own end.

I doubted the team today. But always been big Wilson fan. Will die on the hill that he's better value than Fox.
Yeah, he's more effective in general play.. not a big guy but knows how to make meters and get quick ptbs with what he's got.. is fine defensively as well. Fox is getting injury prone now too.

You don't reckon he offers more in general play than Josh? I know it's unlikely Josh doesn't walk back in, but Wilson for me has a good instinct for the way the game is played now.

Remember his first error against Penrith stepping out. Stayed in today and won us the game lesson learnt, excellent performance.

Obviously fox will get the nod, but if cap space is required for other signings Wilson is priority.

One thing in Fox's favour is that Burton seems void of options without him on his edge

He light on his feet and has a great skills. Always looks like a first grader. We are lucky to have such depth that he is backup to JAC, Critta, Xerri and Kiraz. Hes made losing JAC not noticeable

The great thing that Blake Wilson offers this team is very threatening competition for a wing spot. We have three quality first grade wingers now so the pressure to perform every game is going to get the best out of them. Very impressive performance today. The fox is on notice!

Steps better than bunji, has pace and is strong for his size - what’s not to like.
The thing I really like about him is that he has a good understanding of what is required of a modern winger... a lot of his run metres are just pure speed and smarts.. we've had guys with similar frames to him and they've just been man-handled by running directly into defenders, and not getting themselves to ground.
