Definitely a good highlight reel for Blake Wilson - good defence, ball playing, pace, footwork, confidence under the high ball

Probably the best thing is that he looks like he would at worst be decent depth, who could possibly hold their own at NRL level, without a fatal flaw like we've come to expect from the many outside backs we've had over the past few years (i.e., afraid of contact, lacking pace, etc.)

Gus is signing quite a few big young fast outside backs .... SG ball and Flegg teams should be very good next season.

Nice balance while running and changes angles/stepping. Bit Steve Renouf like. His long range tries near the in goal at the start were reminding me of Barba.

Welcome and go well to both recruits.
Glover has a decent cv was the qrl colts player of the year.
Hopefully both youngsters show a bit would be great to have some depth coming thru in the spine.

He isn’t a first grade player anyone with footy intelligence can see that
Toia's better than both Allan and Okunbor who both will be in reserve grade over him because they're top 30. With the signing of Wilson, Burns a top 30 player and Skelton not sure where Toia plays, hopefully Allan is moved on.

release Allen, Okunbor and Burns, none have a future with us anyway and play a backline in nsw cup like this next year.
1. Blake Wilson
2. Declan Casey
3. Jordan Samrani
4. Jeral Skelton
5. Creedence Toia

Hope his skills hold up at NRL level. Love his ability to accelerate quickly off a standing start and beat defenders, something Avo, Meaney, Hoppa etc can't do (they are/were more likely get driven backwards). Kiraz does it well and our sets start with a lot more momentum.

Good speed, good acceleration, good sidestep. Can take the high ball and defend. Is he halfback material?

He looks good playing against players at similar level. First grade is a much bigger step up. Let's hope he develops into a good acquisition.

Is it the headgear and the socks or does he play like Ponga lol
Thought there was a bit of Ponga in his running style and also a bit of Rod Silva in his side step.

What I liked though is he looks very safe under the high ball and well positioned at the back. Also seems to read the game and pops up in the right position reminiscent of Barba .

Looks like he could be a great signing .

Mentioned earlier by someone - the effect of the covid shutdown has meant that there is most likely quite a few 19 to 23 yo players with a lot of talent yet to be spotlighted - those that missed the first two years of open age or 20s rep footy. Hopefully the Dogs can find them

Gus is playing the numbers game. Sign as many young players with potential as he can and see what few kick on to great things
