Black Friday [RANT] (Explicit)

Are you after just a general laptop or something for a specific purpose, what’s your budget?
Without divulging too much info, I have created a new startup for a new mobile app and software (I have hired an app development team recently) so basically I need it to run a start up and do the basic things but ideally want it to have co-pilot in it as Ill be running a lot of conferences online and I require it to basically be my assistant. I can spend up to about 5k but if I don’t need to go that high I’d rather not

you want something with a good processor, ram and good storage with a decent size screen.

I generally go with dell because they seem to be less full of bloat software and their build quality is good.

I’ll have a look and send you a link etc, they may not even be on special though, generally start of the year with schools.

you have limited pickings with copilot, this would be my pick from the lot.

Ram is the big one now days. It always amazes me that there's Windows 11 laptops still being sold with 8gb of ram. You can't even open Chrome with that.

Yep, I’ve always gone with 16gb in my builds but my current is 32gb, when you compare its cost per gb is cheap.

Actually thank you! The processor is quite good on it and it will be more than enough to cater to what I need for now. Obviously as the development progresses I will have to get something more suitable to run the programming but this is great for now!

Appreciate it haboob :relaxed:

One good thing about Black Friday is you find out what random mailing lists you've ended up on the past year, then you can unsubscribe from all of them in one f'en hit.

All good!

The more you spend the better the value in the long run (within reason), better to have head room than not.
