Best case scenario - Tonga 2 weeks, Asotasi 2-4 weeks
Worst case scenario - Both out for the season

Tonga is goneskies for sure. The amount of time it takes for him to recover we would have Phelsy back.

Bulldogs Injury Update

Just posted ont he Dogs website

The Mitusbishi Electric Bulldogs have held a recovery session this morning.

Bulldogs cub doctor Hugh Hazard commented, "Both Willie Tonga and Roy Asotasi have sustained medial ligament damage (knee). They will have MRI scans on Monday, with results of those scans known on Tuesday.

"Both players will then consult with a specialist to determine what further action is required."

Nate Myles and Dallas McIlwain also sustained injuries during the game against the Broncos last night.

Dr Hazard commented, "Dallas has injured his AC joint (shoulder) and will probably be out for one week. Nate took a knock to his leg and we will monitor his progress during the week, but at this stage it doesn't look serious."

Depends what grade of medial ligament damage;
grade 1: few weeks
grade 2: over a month
grade 3: book a holiday

from what i saw of Roy on Ch9 as he was coming off the field & in the rooms as he was getting assessed, he didnt show much pain at all. That should rule out a grade 3 as they are accompanied with heaps of pain ... but u never know i guess.

better a medial ligament than a cruciate. Cruciate is basically surgery and 6 months out.

i sense a little bit of dejavu. in 2004 we won the premiership but our no. 10 prop sustained an injury prior to the gf and didnt play. he was also leaving us that year to play for another team. in 2006 our no. 10 prop has gotten injured in wat looks like a season ending injury. if so he will not play in the final series and at seasons end will leave us to play for another team.

as much as i dont want it to happen it does make me tingle when i think about it

I've just done my AC and Medial ligaments. Not the nicest things to try and recover from. Given the treatment the boys will receive I say 4-5 weeks.

Its a *****.
