My grandfather lost a leg in the Somme, and my father was a commando in PNG. They never saw themselves as brave, but were heroes in my eyes.

Neither had anything good to say about war, or Americans as allies.

With a Grandfather that survived Changi pow camp and a son currently serving in the RAN ANZAC day holds a special place in my heart. May we never forget how many lives have been sacrificed in their prime to afford us the freedoms and lifestyle’s we enjoy today.
