All we need is quick play the balls and to spread it wide. We do ok when we spread it, we just don't do it often.
We also need peeps backing up so when Elliott and co make half breaks they can offload to a flying Meaney or someone who won't be caught with some space to run through.
There's too much emphasis on one out hit ups and that should cease after tackle two immediately.
The Tolman thang on the four has been some to death and it's valid as all hell, but ask yourself why do the hookers and halves keep passing it to him rather than use him as a decoy? Where are the other players? Why does the coach allow this so often ?
Is Tolman being selfish or is he the only player there not gassed enough to stop trying? I suspect tolman is not the villain here.
Look at how manly led up to the Waddell try today?
Tapau and Blake punched through and had the tigers on ten back foot from the get go and by the time it got to Waddell defenders were in disarray. We need defenders to be in disarray. That means we need the biggest counts up front punching holes and quick play the balls so the opposition can't think properly. We lack that. We play ok individually but momentum ain't a thang with us.
The 2004 dogs used to have massive momentum if you remember
