Probably because his performances are never going to reflect his salary and status as a marquee.I’m not sure why Thommo copping hate, he played well

He played well if he was a 300k lock but as a $800k prop that cant bend a line or offload he is absolute garbageProbably because his performances are never going to reflect his salary and status as a marquee.
He got monstered on one hit up that I saw, when a couple of Raiders got up really fast, and the play the ball had been super slow. Other than that he looked good, plenty of PCM, hitting his front, etc. He was also part of a passing movement out to the left after a quick PTB midfield. Reckon if he can get some more confidence and Reed can start getting him the ball to more advantage we can get a good deal more metres from him.Thompson's PC metres were actually better than our other starting middles, faster play the ball speed too.
you quoted that edge/second row is the same position as a lock didnt you? which is totally incorrectDidn’t you used to play and now coach? That’s what’s embarrassing that you think they’re the same position fmd.
he is a class player, hoping he stays for less money in the coming years. He was impressive yesterday imo.He got monstered on one hit up that I saw, when a couple of Raiders got up really fast, and the play the ball had been super slow. Yes, but people need to realise this is brand new team (coaches and players) and stop holding onto the past.Probably because his performances are never going to reflect his salary and status as a marquee.
Flanagan was okay, better than Reynolds but people on here think Reynolds was great but they're weirdos. Flanagan does get minus points for not passing the ball to Averillo all half. Waddell is okay as a middle but hopeless on an edge..didn't take him long to make a dumb mistake in defence once he was pushed wider. Thompson was better than last season but I still feel he isn't dominant enough at contact to really be a forward leader. If the teams got momentum then I think he can turn it on..Yes, but people need to realise this is brand new team (coaches and players) and stop holding onto the past.
Everyone has a clean slate under Ciro
In terms of the perennial whipping boys;
-Flanagan was solid (he really doesn’t have to be anything more with Burton and Reed)
-Waddell wasn’t as bad as people are making it out to be ( numbers reflect that )
-Thompson was impressive
Preston, Reed and Pele also all impressive
This is definitely my team list as wellPerham
Kiraz
Averillo
Alomati
Jac
Burton
Flanagan
King
Mahoney
Thompson
Kikau
Rfm ( first 20 then move to mid )
Sutton
Brown/Reynolds
Tpj
Preston
Patolo/Pele/Davey
What about Reynolds replacing the halvesI think CC will go with
1 Perham
2 JAC
3 Burns
4 Averillo
5 Kiraz
6 Burton
7 Flanagan
8 King
9 Mahoney
10 Thompson
11 Kikau
12 RFM
13 TPJ
14 Preston
15 Sutton
16 Waddell
17 ?????
If you put Reynolds on the bench the only player he can come on for is Mahoney...Will Mahoney be playing the full 80 week in week out?
Than again the Panthers somehow fit in that mullethead Salmon on the bench with Luai, Cleary and Apin in the team.....
The last #17 will be real interesting
Agree with 17. Hopefully our new recruits step up and keep Waddell out of the side.1: Perham
2: Kiraz
3: Averillo
4: Alamoti
5: Addo-Carr
6: Burton
7: Flanagan
8: King
9: Mahoney
10: Thompson
11: Kikau
12: RFM
13: Sutton
14: Brown
15: TPJ
16: Preston
17: Anyone but Waddell
We have better and I think our new recruits will step up and keep him out.He is definitely better in the front row than on the edge
Considering what we have up front, Waddell will one player coming off the bench trying to add impact
Wish we had better, but got to work with what we have
