95-year-old Clare Nowland tasered by police and ‘fighting for life

If he does end up in prison he’s going to be in protective custody.

No winners here.. An old mentally impaired woman dying in a silly and sad way and a young man who was a policeman now tarred for life. Shit go all round.

In handing down his decision, Justice Ian Harrison found that White made a “terrible mistake” but that his crime fell at the lower end of objective seriousness.

So, someone died, and somehow this is at the lower end of objective seriousness???

Sheet....lower end of objective seriousness.
Human life so easily disrespected.
95 but still deserving of a peaceful respectful death both for herself and friends and family.

If she was younger: it may not have been the "lower end"?

Something very wrong with this Justuce Harrison's values.

I would be willing taser him

Like the medical profession, the legal profession etc all stick together.

I appreciate how cops probably go in prison, but FFS.

Can it be appealed.

A jury found him guilty, a jury should decide the punishnent.

This Justice Harrison bloke has just showed us members of the public, exactly how ineffective and, yes, corrupt our legal system is.

The wasted money prosecuting this case involving millions of dollars has all been for nothing.

The cop was proven guilty.
It was witnessed by several.
His actions and impatience with a 95 year old wheelie walker dementia patient were not is dispute.

He proclaimed, "bugger it" which leaves you to believe those actions were done because... I'm gonna neutralise this embarrassing old time waster and get back to my donuts at the station.

The "judge" said in effect that's ok.
You've got yourself into a bit of a pickle here hey but it would be awful for you if you served time coz you're a cop, so here's a good behaviour bond coz it's not that bad really, off you go and good day good luck to you my good man.

Just wow.
Belief in the justice system eviscerated.
