It fuckin sucks. So hard to pull off an upset. Under the old rules it was possible to pull out a grinding win on defence… These days? Forget it!

I can imagine being at the game and not knowing what the hell the 6 again was for would be frustrating as hell. Even the commentary aren't sure what the penalty was for in some cases.

Too random, evolves the game away from what it was.

It's part of the Globalist new world order. Just like they are taking steps to the left to take the world into socialism, the NRL is taking steps into touch footy.

It was a knee jerk rule introduced without much thought or consultation. The referees have the ability to make sure who wins & who loses on arbitrary decisions 90% which nobody knows what they were for. The referees have predetermined how the game will run in their heads & then follow that plan.

From watching all games weekly + rep games to now watching the Dogs play only. I haven't watched GFs or Origin for this & other reasons. I would much rather they go back to the rules in the mid 90s & start again & actually officiate properly, not interpret or guess.

Keep going with this & there won't be too many fans left watching, but I guess after COVIDs 20th anniversary they will still be blaming the virus for no crowds.

You can still be good at footy playing if it’s 6 again or not
A good footy playing guy would be good under any rules because they are just a good footy playing guy under all conditions
We need to get some guys who are good at footy playing under all conditions

again with the 'new rules means refs change the game' conspiracy.

So tell me the difference between a ref blowing a penalty for being inside the ten and having the team kick for touch, as opposed to 6 again?

The refs arent going into a smoky backroom and making a deal with a bunch of shifty fat wogs smoking cigars behind a locked door mid game....
you can see whats going down from the TV. Plsyers inside the ten or they arent.

The argument is not about te rules really for mine,
it is about how rushed they were.
the discrepancies in quality we is all seeing is because teams on the grinder like us had no time to adapt and remodel rosters.

Hate it!
It’s in place so the one referee has less scrutiny as no stoppage to show replays of referee errors
If the NRL had decent referees unlike the so called offical who was in charge for the whole origin series and is the ‘no 1’ referee the game wouldn’t need all this changes
The 6 again just doesn’t give teams lacking in possession a chance. It brings fatigue but just kills any chance of momentum shifts. Tired teams will give away more 6 agains as they lay in the ruck to slow it/slow to get back etc
Half the time the 6 again is given then 2 minutes later spectators are asking why a 6 again is not given.

I deleted a far longer post but I'll try and do it in summary form. No I hate the rule. I am of the opinion that the NRL has tried to manipulate the outcomes of games since we took a gambling agency into the fold. In my opinion that's a recipe for corruption.

So the rule changes
1. Create more grey areas. A rule should be a rule. It shouldn't come down to referees discretion. I as a 40 year watcher of the game no longer feel like I know the rules and that's because the rules are not concrete anymore. The captains challenge has never needed to be a thing before, but now it suddenly is.

2. Add to fatigue. Not in itself a bad thing if the rules were applied evenly, but with refs discretion they're not. Has resulted in loads more injury and blowout scores which nobody really likes to see frequently.

3. Alienates fans. I know quite a few people that don't feel like this is the game they grew up watching. Like me not feeling like you know the rules can really drive you away from a sport where you once knew exactly what was going on.

In reality I want the 6 again rule gone. But moreso I want the game to kick the gambling agencies to the curb and allow them no access to the game which can lead to corruption. It'll be hard for me to ever get back to watching more than the dogs play while I feel like games are manipulated.

Fuckin hate it

I was someone who could watch every game of the week now I struggled to get through a dogs game. I've even turn off the last couple games 20 mins in.

Even the Manly and St George game tonight I watch about 15 min second half and turn off as bullshit. Manly did four infringement in row no repeat set or penalty to St George. I mean for one of infringements the marker were standing side by side after being warned still nothing.

Yep.
Garbage rule - ruining the game.
Referees are handing points to teams.
What’s interesting about exhausted players who can’t defend?
Exactly, the majority of the tries scored these are eye sores.

There are a record number of 1 out pass barge over tries.

The defenses have become terrible.

That goes into any part of the game. Everything is red interpretation. That interpretation existed 5 years ago except it will be a kick to touch
Yes of course, but six again has the option to be far more frequent. Its too easy for a ref to just call it without consequence. If he calls other things there is more scrutiny on the decision because the play stops. Make sense?
