You got it wrong, Doogs… we towelled up because Cleary took control of the game with his kicking, general organisational play and playmaking, not the other way round,
Huh? 60/40 possession. Played against 12 men and we had how many restarts? 1. What kicking game generated that? General organisational play and playmaking? We scored off a kick trick (which Burton made look better than it was), some good work from Burton, four people slipping over off two steps for two tries, Qld forgetting to tackle Luai. The Tupou pass I'd give to playmaking but not exactly tough and I missed the Crichton try due to a piss. And all they played all night was the double block play which got us, one try. A Penrith special with the whole backline Penrith or ex-Penrith. His playmaking? How about his club plan.

If Teddy, Burton and our forwards don't get us on the front foot, we're fckd. Teddy does his own shit, Burton plays outside of Luai and the forwards did their stuff.

Teddy should have an extra trophy.

What position he play
2nd row first half, halfback 2nd half. May sound weird but advice from the club is to keep it up as they see him as a ball playing lock.

Lol I think you are being a little unkind, to say the least. Nothing he did was easy tonight. The penalties and momentum generated by our forwards and teddy were definitely important factors, but the blues were up by 2 when Cleary snatched that game by the scruff of the neck, and he laid on the first of the tries which gave us that narrow lead.

Agree to disagree, Doogs, I think he did more than enough to silence his critics.

And why not make use you those Penrith systems and combinations? They have delivered a premiership and made Penrith the best side for almost 3 years now.

If the kid still has critics now, their not critics their haters…… and that’s before tonight’s game
He was leading a blues team around winning origins at 20
Already won a premiership, kangaroos jerseys
His done a bit to say the least

Fuck’n oath. Any fan who wouldn’t love to have him at our club is mad.

I think you are being a fanboy (as usual). The Cleary snatching the game was Munster getting caught for bombing out of the line. Cleary just ran at him and lobbed the ball for the 4 on 3. After that we played lets all fall over when Cleary gets the ball.

And I'm not saying he was a disaster. Just in my book he was the 4th best NSW player out there tonight and would have no issues with 5 or 6.

And those combinations are Penrith, not Cleary. With all the moving parts, his 'choice' is to go out the back or short. Everything else is someone else.

And they tell me I'm a coner....

some of the stats from tonight's match were stunning --> 1600 (NSW) running metres to 878 (QLD), 4 errors to 11, 14 missed tackles to 56 by QLD
Won’t see that from qld at Suncorp

I'm glad Burton scored and won on debut. He played very well and I'm sure it was one of his career highlights to date.
