I get the feeling the Ashes will be won by whoever sucks the least. That makes sense.

i say bring back mcgrath and warne just for this series, they wont bowl any worse than this current crop. Worry about the next ashes series then lol.

Sigh I so wish we could. Apparently there's a Twenty20 on Sunday night with some of the old boys playing. I miss watching them!

ferguson and khawaja hughes all just failed for Aus A against a B bowling attack for England

Katich and Watson both failed for NSW against tasmania.

hmmmm
Well thats sucks. Was hoping Usman would make a big score, then see Hussey fail, then see the selectors stick with Hussey.

EDIT:

Hussey OUT for an 18 ball duck

North is currently in now, just off the mark. FML all aussie batsmen + younger brigade have failed

only ponting and north remain lol

LOL 18 ball duck, if that is not someone so under pressure I don't know what is.

Seriously, if Hussey gets selected for the first test and finds himself out there early I hope he is wearing diapers, cos he is literally going to be sh*tting himself.

Ponting just in.

Lol NSW with Katich, Jacques, Watson, Haddin, Henriques all out for 97, Tassie is 1/1

bollinger struck with the 2nd ball.

Marcus North out cheaply also for the WA game. Lol all our batsmen are choking

Ouch!

Well one way to look at it is maybe they have ALL got their bad score out of the way before a ball is even bowled in the Ashes!

I wish i could beleive that lol.

lol Ponting out for 7

Tassie 3/11

Not 1 batsmen today has scored runs who are in the test team or close to making it other than Steven Smith who has just score a half century against England

p.s if i were Australia id be thinking about Trent Copeland very very soon.

He is in his 8th 4 day game and already has 47 wickets at an avg of 18.

Is that the guy you spoke of the other week?

That is amazing stats.

Sometimes it can pay massive dividends tossing someone like that in the team with his raw ability and as much as anything the shock value.

yeah man that was him.

NSW have a host of quick bowlers, Mark Cameron is going to be a freak when he is given a go. He is playing for Aus A today so will be interesting to see how he goes. Josh Hazzlewood at age 19 has already played 1 game for Aus and is a star in the making for both tests and ODIs, then you have Mitchell Starc who we have seen recently play for Australia.

Really Australia might just want to start fresh by putting in NSW's bowling young brigade :p

Nice!

It would be nice to see another 3-4 batsmen and another international quality allrounder step up too to add some real depth to the squad.

Add a real quality spinner to that too..one who can actually get some drift and turn and then Australia will be back to world domination Mwuhahaha!

copeland has put NSW back in it

Tassie has first innings points but Copeland got 6/51 from 20.4 overs. 43.4 overs were bowled and he bowled nearly half lol. The next best was bollinger who bowled 11 and took 3 wickets.

Copeland now has 51 wickets in his 8th game with an avg of 17.66

Tassie lead by only 28 runs, NSW currently 3/0 at stumps.

Aus A vs England front:

Aus A all out for 230 (S.O'Keefe 66, S.Smith 59, Tremlett 4/54)
England 1/22 (Cook 10 n.o, Strauss 10, Cameron 1/14)
