In the modern game the most important/dominant positions are 1,6,7,9
We have our future 6 in place with limited first grade experience in his preferred position.
Current 9 has serious limitations, hopefully better with more quality surrounding him
7, hopefully better with more quality surrounding whoever gets the job…
1, could be great , certainly can be in attack but has serious defensive limitations….hopefully will be better than in the past….
From my perspective in 2022 there is far to much “hope” required for dominant performances from the key positions which have significant question marks over the players.
Best case scenario….6-8.
Most likely outcome….9-12…I can live with this as long as we have much more consistent performances & more regularly challenge the current crop of top teams. This would set us up well for 2023 when our 9 will be filled with a great player, 6 will have had a year in his posi & hopefully we will have clarity re our 7 & 1…
All pretty accurate still…does that count as a W??

A lot of people predicted around 12th. Well played. A few eternal optimists early on.. i think for 2023 we’ll move up a few more places on the ladder.
Yep, I reckon we will play some finals footy for the first time in 7 years. Will be nice to go to a semi again with the army.

the way CC instills the mental and fitness from day one will dictate how we will be next year. If CC breaks them all down and rebuilds them then I’m 100% saying we make the 8. If the team doesn’t catch onto the mental and fitness side of things I think will be 9th-10th

Mate I really hope so it’s been long enough. We were so used to playing finals every year. A few little highlights this year which was nice. Definitely something to build on. Especially if we can improve defensively.

I’m on the same wave length I think fitness and defensive improvements will be the key.

I think the club did a wonderful thing getting rid of Barrett. The best thing they’ve done in years but then ruined it by recruiting JR. Why is everyone delusional about how good he supposably is? And worse in modern NRL ya can’t cough without giving away penalties he’s gonna be a shocker if he somehow gets a start

Getting reffed out of the Broncos and rd 3 manly games pretty much set up the shit show of a season we had. The team never recovered from those games and was a downward spiral that Baz couldn't dig us out off. Hope next year is better.

16 Tigers 16th
15 Cowboys 2nd
14 Knights 14th
13 Dragons 10th
12 Raiders 8th
11 Warriors 15th
10 Dogs 12th
9 Titans 13th
8 Broncos 9th
7 Sharks 3rd
6 Rabbitohs 7th
5 Sea Eagles 11th
4 Eels 4th
3 Storm 5th
2 Roosters 6th
1 Panthers 1st
At this point in time the ladder would read as in red. Of course Sharks play tomorrow and will probably beat the Knights and the Tigers will probably be beaten by the Raiders meaning that the only real changes would be within the bottom 4 sides depending on for and against.

11 to 12 for me. We wont be overly competitive until we remove flanno & Averillo. TJP needs to have a big 2023 starting from R1 and we need to horse trade out that pommy flog prop that earns 900k a season during the offseason
