I actually did hear about a few people being caught, and in a couple of cases, kids were the perps... Unfortunately nobody is calling for penalties against the parents of children who commit such acts because you're only a cool kid if you kick and scream about climate change
Bro parents are too worried about being cool on Tik tok with their cool kids rather than being actual parents. You’re meant to be a father/mother first and foremost and then a friend not friend first.

That's the thing.. everybody just rolls with the majority... nobody thinks for themselves, because if they did, they would understand that they are being used by the media and politicians... who do they think organises these rallies? who do they think pays to promote them? they are fighting for the very same people they are convinced they are fighting against... it's absolute insanity.... it just seems that everybody is fuelled by ego and attention, rather than actually acting from the heart.. because people who act from the heart aren't just talking about it, they are acting.. they aren't kicking and screaming "climate change", they are holding a big fuck off hose and nursing injured animals..

But yes. It's precisely what it is. I had a fire break out down the road from me in the tip and someone posted, "I bet kids lit it and we're going to blame climate change"

It lead to an obvious debate where one guy said, "A single Volcano emits 100 times what humans have ever emitted"

I responded with, "That's not even remotely true"

He responded with, "It was proven by scientists a decade ago. Stop arguing for the sake of arguing"

And as I'm an arrogant prick who hates other arrogant pricks, I quickly shared research and articles showing that all of the Volcanoes across earth emit less than 1% of what the humans emit each year.

And his response was, "We'll agree to disagree". Which was actually pretty civilised. Usually they just yell at me then block me.

I don't think many people are denying climate change... the argument is about people grandstanding the days surrounding an event, doing nothing to help, and then being silent on the matter until the next hashtags come along... the people are arguing amongst themselves, while those who are most accountable kick back and never have to deal directly with any backlash

The climate is changing this evening fellas.

Major storms and heavy rain.

To my socialist kennel members out there, we have had womens rights, vegan rights, global warming, climate change.

Whats next on the horizon? (No pun intended)

They protested last year and Kerry Anne Kennedy (KKK) said to run them all over like speed bumps. The same group in this thread who deny climate change were cheering the thought of running over humans protesting about protecting our environment.

So dont re-write history that they arent doing anything as they've organised multiple protests about this.

Yeah exactly.. they turn up to a protest when and where they are told to, when they can stroke their egos and put pictures of themselves being heroes on social media, but then it's like the apparent cause doesn't exist, after the fact... they just go back to consuming and being a part of the problem, and never mention shit until the next hashtags are released. The people who are genuine do not wait for the 1% to tell them to jump... they are out there acting, and not focused on drawing attention to themselves.

Also I'm not sure if this has been posted or discussed but saw the following post regarding the 70mil donation from Twiggy

10mil to bushfire relief
10mil to sign up 1250 unpaid volunteers
50mil funnelled back into his own Minderoo Foundation to set up own fire and disaster think tank.

Forrest has donated 0.14% of his 6.84billion net worth.

The equivalent of a minimum wage worker donating $2 from their paycheck

EDIT: no idea personally if true or not.
I’m not going to bag the bloke for donating that amount of money no matter what percentage of his net worth it is

And again scientists have said we are beyond the point where individual actions are going to have an effect. That we need our whole society to change our source of energy.

So this whole people should conserve energy, or why do they use a smart phone, or why do they drive is nonsense

Maybe it is nonsense, but so is fighting amongst ourselves, while the 1% never deal directly with any backlash... I have family members who have to deal with these people but do you know who doesn't have to deal with these people directly? politicians, CEOs, tycoons, etc... why? because they are sitting back playing us all against each other.. divide and conquer... why is nobody taking the fight to those people? taking it to big corp, Parliament? I mean.... wouldn't that be the logical thing to do? stopping the cars of innocent civilians isn't going to solve shit

I believe the climate is changing and there has always been and always will be cycles too BUT I didn’t lose two properties because of climate change.
I lost them because I wasn’t allowed the clear the land I had continually asked to clear. I could’ve saved them. They are insured and I’m not homeless but it could’ve been avoided. At least one of the fires was deliberately lit

Because they've done an excellent job at disinformation and circumnavigating our democracy.

Turnbull was toppled as leader of the opposition for trying to bring in policy to reduce emmissions

Gillard brought in the ETS,

Abbott lied about and called it a carbon tax (https://www.sbs.com.au/news/carbon-tax-just-brutal-politics-credlin)

Abbott promised everyone $500 if he dismantled the " carbon tax", no one got $500

Turnbull, this time as PM, tried to bring in his own scheme NEG and was toppled as leader

Morrisson brought in a lump of coal into parliament

Gina Reinhardt made up an award and gave $40k to Barnaby joyce https://www.abc.net.au/news/rural/2...rds-barnaby-joyce-40-thousand-dollars/9178612

Protestors were attacked by police when they were protesting a coal execs get together https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-10...-outside-melbourne-mining-conference/11648540 (I cant find the article but VIC police accepted that they started the confrontations and were too heavy handed)

The LNP lied about a threat to mining jobs in the last election. Adani have continuously lied about how many jobs their going to bring to Australia https://www.theguardian.com/environ...-there-are-new-questions-over-carmichael-mine

Clive palmer spent $80 million in our last election with a goal of NOT winning any seats, he simply wanted his preferences to go to the LNP. Many palmer united volunteers were seen handing out LNP how to vote pamphlets. And why did palmer go to this trouble? For his new mine.

The LNP are trying to ban ANY protests to mines

Whistleblowers of any kind are being threatened with lengthy prison sentences.

And yet here we are blaming "lefties" and "millenials".

You tell me whos the problem?

These fuck heads are continuously lying and the majority of the population keeps voting for them based on these LIES.

I've added references to some of the things I've said and you're more than welcome to search the other things I've said, they're all on record, coming out of their own mouths.

The LNP are trying to shut down ANY KIND of opposition to their way. From banning protests, threatening whistleblowers and cutting funding to the ABC (The ONLY media organization in australia who had proper investigative journalism, well they used to), theyre stacking nearly every independent commission we have with their people, e.g. the AEC refusing to bring to justice the shitty tactics frydenburg and gladys Liu used (our high court found that they purposely tried to mislead the electorate https://www.abc.net.au/news/2019-11...igh-court-challenges-election-result/11675738 , they refuse to accept criticism and if they are questioned properly they either refuse to answer or answer with threats

What they are doing is NOT democracy (the right to protest is a CORNERSTONE of democracy) and yet the "lefties" and "millenials" are the evil ones

That's the point of the protests. Instead of protesting they could go home and recycle. But what would that do? They could help fight the fires (and should if they can) but that's putting a bandaid on the problem without targeting the actual problem.

The protests are designed to raise awareness and encourage more to attack the system so they can stop the key polluters from polluting.
