The final main meal of the day, you do you refer to it as 'Dinner' or 'Tea'?

I call it dinner. I find people who refer to it as tea are Aussie as. It's too confusing because I always get the image of a cup of tea, not a meal.

If its afternoon then I call it tea.
If its past 05:45 then it becomes dinner.

Although I went on a date yesterday afternoon and we called it lunch.

I have 3 meals a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. What time I them is irrelevant, it just depends on the order.

The only time this rule does not count is when I sleep in until midday and then I generally only have 2 meals but the latter one is always dinner. First one can be considered brekky or lunch.

My parents and many older Australians will call is tea. Just like they call dessert "sweets".

A lot of people used to cal their midday mean "dinner". Traditionally a "Sunday dinner" was served at lunchtime/afternoon.

I will not be restricted in my terminology for the evening meal. Sometimes I call it dinner, other times tea.

Tea is Tea. Dinner is Dinner.
Yeah being an Italian growing up in Sydney I always found it hilarious when I’d go to an Aussie mates house and it was always tea regardless of time. Fkn stupid and hilarious at the same time kind cute. Weird ass Aussie’s

That's it. You're not allowed to have pasta for the rest of your life mate. Maybe that'll teach you a lesson in manners.

Your problem brother is that us wogs stick together, so if you mess with @ThePedigree it's not the Italian Mafia you have to worry about, it's me and @ASSASSIN... the mafia of the MOTHER-FUCKING USSR!!!

I think comes from the poms?

My 1st grade teacher who was from London and taught my class true English, told us they prefer to call dinner either tea or evening tea.
