Why would any of them want to come to the club. Are we in a premiership window, great coach, other players they can learn off. We're not an attractive club to be at right now.
Its the clubs front offices responsibilty now to change that..

Why on earth did we let woolford go? Our hookers are lichaa, jmk and nu brown. None of them are hookers. Woolford still had work to do but he is a specialist hooker who is also a goal kicker. And we just give him away?
Cheeky little pric said he was off to England to play under his dad at Huddersfield..... Nek minute he off to Newcastle

What a farce the NRL is - complete bs if they’re letting Klemmer move on “personal reasons”. What’s more, this will be a staple of every early player movement from now on, not just Isaac Moses’ managed players.

$600k is not a high figure. Placate, persuade and cajole Klemmer into playing and putting in at the Bulldogs. Otherwise, he can sit on the sidelines for the next two years. While I had no objection with losing Mbye and Woods, I’m sick and tired of the Bulldogs being the punching bag. If Knights want Klemmer and aren’t prepared to trade up for the starting Aus and NSW prop, then they shouldn’t be getting him.

It doesnt matter these days wake up its all about $$$
Not at all clubs. For players that come to us it will be all about dollars and being overpaid which is a shame. Players that are lazy and just there for a paycheck.

It is but that's not going to change overnight except if you have big dollars to spend and quality players coming off contract similar to 08/09. This time the repair is going to take a while.

I think some people are forgetting a lot of factors :tearsofjoy:
I'm smelling a decent result here. Both CEOs calling out individuals = pawns in a game.

On the flipside I hungoverly left a half eaten Zinger in my car at lunch and now my car smells like the Steggles slaughterhouse.

I hope the club shows this Kid some tough love.

It’s what this young kid needs,

“No mate your contacted and not going anywhere”.

Harden up and Lead by example for the junior boys coming up into FG.
Play out your contract and your free to go.

Who knows, alot can change over 2 years.
Our club will be in a better place and he will become one of the greatest forwards ever to wear our proud jersey and become a Bulldogs Legend..

He would mature a lot in 2 years and maybe look back and be glad he stuck it during these tough times.

Resilience builds character and Integrity which will make him a Man and even greater player in the future.

But such is life, he’s only 24 and will chase the money and leave.

Strap yourselves in next year is going to be tough and a emotional wild ride for all of us loyal fans.

Tbf Holland did finish the season with 13 try involvements from 10 starts for us. In comparison Jmoz had 14 try involvements while Hoppa had 16. Jmoz played an extra 500 minutes while Hoppa played almost an extra 900 minutes. Holland was easily our biggest attacking threat at centre last season.
Was pretty happy with Holland this year, if only he was faster.

Our club might take a serious look at the length of the contract they (give or have to give) to get or retain players. We seem to run into trouble with all the players we've signed for more than 3 years.
If we give them only 1 or 2 years they will have to put in to get a new contract either with us or another player, if they walk then we have money to get someone else.
We should not underestimate the importance of players putting in (having a go) in all this saga, because there is a lot of players who sign an extended contract then take it easy until the time approaches for a new contract.

I wonder.. If our club offered Klemmer the same contract as Newcastle .. would he stay.

That'd show if its personal or not.

People are forgetting the biggest factor - if Ramien actually wants to play for the club.

He moved to the Knights for family reasons, why would he want to backflip on that for Klemmer or Newcastle's benefit.
Hence the better tactic of telling Isaac Moses to speak with other player managers, and find Klemmers replacement and a centre for us, if he wants us to release Klemmer.

If he can't do that, Klemmer doesnt get released, he misses out on a pay day, and it's life as normal.

Rhyse Martin - suddenly homesick for Townsville and wants to leave for personal reasons. Doubt so but then I thought Klemmer loved the club.
Lachy Lewis - suddenly homesick for Qld. Doubt so but then I thought Klemmer loved the club.
Ogden, RFM, every other islander - suddenly homesick.

We could create a real dangerous precedent here if the club isnt careful.

He is not a man, he is a boy with no honour and his word is worthless. That's how this soy boy world is now. I have honour and morals and I'm the weird one. The fuck is an extra 100k after taxes? The kid is leaving because we got rid of his boyfriend and is dumb enough to have a piece of shit manager brainwash him.

Fkn lol Comparing football to real word jobs. Good luck breaking a contract in the real world.

A job is more than just money.
Footballers are young men most time not much more than kids, clever cunning managers and club CEO"S brainwash them very easily.

I would encourage the club to only sign 2 year deals from now on no longer... the loyal true dogs will stay and the bullshit will always walk when the better offer comes along.
