Can't believe that we lost Moz twins, Eastwood, Klemmer and are paying significant amounts of Mbye and Woods contracts to play at other teams all in the space of a few months.

I love our club but I can only describe us a f*ck up of a club.. the amount of talent we have willingly or been pressured into letting go of since 2004 is embarrassing..

no one in the rugby league world respects us at moment..

Why on earth did we let woolford go? Our hookers are lichaa, jmk and nu brown. None of them are hookers. Woolford still had work to do but he is a specialist hooker who is also a goal kicker. And we just give him away?

He showed more at hooker than the others, thats why he was released.. that ones squarely on Dean Pay..

My line of thinking is that if we manage to find a replacement for Klemmer from another club and don't want anything else from Newcastle then why not just go after one of the promising youngsters in exchange for Klemmer, I can't see them standing in the way of that considering the calibre of player they're getting and it just sweetens the deal for us.

Best case scenario for me is if we get AFB, Johnson, Hayne and manage to get someone like Hoy from the Knights. That way we are addressing our first-grade team needs in getting a prop, halfback and centre whilst also having a super talented player in our ranks that may turn out to be something in the future. Klemmer and Foran's money should cover AFB, Hayne and Johnson.

People are forgetting the biggest factor - if Ramien actually wants to play for the club.

He moved to the Knights for family reasons, why would he want to backflip on that for Klemmer or Newcastle's benefit.

I still reckon our best bet is telling Isaac Moses to run off, talk to his player manager contacts, and secure us the signature of a decent prop and centre NOT via his business.

If he can do that, he gets Klemmer a release.

That way if he fails to do so, then Klemmers contract collapse with Knights is on his managers head not ours.

Lets not forget, we were after Kurt Mann recently, Manns manager (ISSAC MOSES) played hard ball, and we walked away. Perhaps thats why Moses isn't happy with us.

Actually the Knights do have a gun junior called Bradman Best (yes that’s his name!) it might be worth having a crack at him.

Knights have a few, including Bradman Best (who is signed up with them till 2022 according to Bedsy).

I dont know many players have asked for a release under Bellamy, Bennett, Robinson & the other top coaches.. im unsure how Klemmer asking for a release reflects on Pay..

we all want to believe Pay is a great coach that players want to play for but its his first year and the jurys still out..

Well we let go of many of our good players to have wiggle room in our 'salary cap'..

So now we have to splash some cash.. we are now a club that will have to pay 'overs' to sign decent players

Totally get what your saying mate. Problem is that none of these arseholes actually grew up in an era where "legacy" meant something. I grew up watching Wally Lewis, Terry Lamb and that great era of Belcher, Meninga, Sterlo, Miles, Conescu and on and on. Those blokes knew what it meant to say get fuked to a few extra quid because it meant playing for a rival and possibly a hated club from back in the day. Some did of course but not many. This lot have grown up watching players renege on deals so they can get extra bucks, that's what they know as an example. This is of course a problem that started with the so called leaders of this game. How they can let Coaches (supposed adults) and players walk out on a signed contract is a disgrace and what's more a terrible example to the young people they are also responsible for in help raising. This also coincided with no longer having to have an actual job in life. They've become precious and babied. Let's face it, it's over lads.....RL is no longer that game and the people in it no longer deserve the accolades and words like "legacy" and "Bulldogs great" etc etc. They are 2 dollar whores and ramble on about "looking after family" and "short career" as excuses for just pure greed. Let's remember that the rest of us are raising families just fine on 10% of what these gorillas are earning. IT'S over, IT'S gone. Just be thankful I guess if you have some memories of how it use to be.

Change is inevitable. Having moved away from Sydney some time ago, Ive always had The Bulldogs and league to watch and cherished memories of watching the dogs in the 80's and the brutality, skill and excitement of state of origin. What you have explained I agree 100%. NRL is becoming cringe worthy, full of soft cocks. From the top down. Slaters 6 month send off, with TV stories etc fuck off. What a joke.
