Do you say Walsh as a negative? Because I see Karl being similar but see it as a positive. The negative is, it will probably take him a couple of seasons to dominate like Walsh, but if he’s as potent as Walsh is now, we’ll be laughing.

Personally given all the injuries and the fact it’s CC’s first head coach gig I don’t feel that way.

In terms of Mahoney, I think we have witnessed early in the season what he is capable of and once we get more troops back and hopefully sort out our halves situation I believe he will be one of our best signing in years to come.

In saying that, I have been wrong many times before, so I guess we will have to wait and see.

You look at a team like Melbourne that share strike across their whole spine. Munster, Grant, Paps and Hughes. They also have some strong forwards.
Look at the Dogs. Its Reed and Burton (who is still learning on the job). Forward pack is stuffed this year due to injuries.

Strong spine and Reed wouldn't have to overplay his hand all the time and his game would be much better for it.

Reeds had 2 poor games (not for lack of effort) but Im not complaining.
For years we havent had an A grade 9 and now that position is sorted.
