Im not great with analysis of the game. I dont pretend to understand all areas of the game.
Can someone explain to me this 'Reynolds straightens our attack" and how that has contributed positively to our attack?
My observations is we run a slow as fuck play, the ball just pass's through the hands for the sake of it and by the time Avo sees ball hes run out of room. He either submits in the tackle, or needs to come back infield. Often he still has Kiraz wedged on his outside which he cant use Basically jammed there ever week, its so predictable.
Was hoping to see Avo run this year but very little opportunity to do so.
Anyone else notice this or am I completey fucking clueless?
Our halves don’t dig into the line. Foran was so good for our attack because he’d go straight, and pass at the line. Opens up space for the back. Flanagan and Burton just catch and pass, so the defence just slides and that’s why we never create an overlap. Something so simple, yet our halves can’t do it.

If he is doing it correctly the defence does not slide, they are committed to the tackle.
Think your confused
No.
Watch him.
He takes the ball at first or second receiver and runs diagonally to a gap between players. The inside defender is forced to slide as do the rest to take either the lead runner or Perham-Averillo out the back.

It's the only time we look crisp in attack. Most of the time, the defence does its job and they shut down the play with Perham running out of room or running behind Averillo or Kiraz. There is abit of an issue there with Perham who isn't quite clicking and he just submits to the tackle.

It might need JR to cut him and Avo out and loop the pass to Kiraz who might beat off his winger and find Avo with an inside ball.

Now think about the left hand side with Burton at 5/8th and start crying.

Parra have a lot of defensive deficiencies. I’d be disappointed if we don’t score some points tomorrow.
Prepare yourself then.
We tend score off mistakes rather than our own doing.

Exactly, and this is why we looked much better when he was introduced against Cows. By running straight and deep into the defensive line, they have no option but to stay put in case he runs himself.

Grub was hopeless last week but most of the team were the same. If he can do what he did against the Cows more often, he’s worth having in the team. By running right up to the defence, he engages them, thus possibly creates gaps or space on the wings. Without that, we go side to side without much threat.

Nah, he just doesn’t want to risk giving someone a debut next to a couple of other players who are only 7 days in their first grade career. Look what happened last week on that edge. Need someone with some experience out there. Okur is the best of what’s left
Your principle is right, but Okunbors only experience on the wing involved terrible reads, poor hands and just generally brain dead plays. And that’s when he was playing and training as as a full time winger lol.
Not sure Alamoti will have any benefit with that outside him instead of a debutant

JOK is ok on the wing.
He has been playing in a pretty poor 1st grade team so I don't blame him for all the stuff ups.

Hopefully he is on the same page with his inside centre and they can defend well.

I'm sure he'll be fine in attack and coming out of our own half

We might score but brace yourself for the Okunbor/Alamoti pairing to be seriously targeted
Yep, and I hope Alamoti doesn't find himself penalised for escorts all night from Moses bombs.

Only saving grace in Okunbur being on the wing is that Penesini is a ball hog... So if Okunbur jams in odds should be in our favour to cover it

Why would Averillo play on the wing? :tearsofjoy:
Thought it made sense, Burns has good hands Averillo with some speed and can finish a try. Burns has played centre all his first grade career I believe. If I’m wrong I just thought it’s the most logical thing guess averillo hasn’t played wing though.
