All the dumb arse mistakes come out of fatigue and inability to compete for 80 min. About 50-60 min seems to be our limit at present.

I agree a game manager at 6 or 7 would largely change our fortunes

The fatigue is due to the fact that we aren’t capable of dominating the ruck against most teams. This has mainly come about because we have a bench standard back rower as a starting prop and the other starting lightweight prop is a benchy at best also. It’s a double edged sword in the fact that when we have the ball we get bent and put on our backs forcing a slow play the ball giving the opposing defence more than ample time to reset their line. When we defend the opposition poke their noses through allowing for a quick play the ball and we’re forever retreating and struggling to get back the ten. This is why we are always giving away repeat 6 again sets.

Yeah pretty alarming the coach thinks Okenbour had a great game. Looks like its a permanent thing for the forseeable future. Yikes.

That statement by Ciro praising Oki has caused me to start having doubts about him. That coupled with the obvious fatigue at the back end of games and the coach has a fresh forward just sitting there is cause for concern about his game management. Love to hear his theory on it.

Well - I differ. What is he useless at? Catching balls. Here you go - go in the pack - no kicks to catch. He had decent yardage for his time. Plus he ragdolled Klokstad. Wasn't our worst player today.

I don’t think there is an argument against the quality of players we have, yes we need to improve in certain positions, but what would anyone expect the players to do when we can all see what the fuck is going on, does anyone think the players in their own mind are not thinking we are not meant to to win today? Eventually it’s going to sink in, they’re only humans! Even the last minute or so of play, the warriors touched the ball right under the touchies nose, the cheating prick didn’t even flinch! It’s a fucking joke! I’ve been on this forum for years now, I know for a fact that even if we had won today we still all be mentioning the same same things we are discussing right now!

What do you want from a utility bench player? He did his job - others didn't. And tbf - if he can find a place in the pack - with our current depth - its not a bad thing.

Yes I was concerned after watching that presser. He said Okunbor was close to our best ? If that claim in anywhere near the truth then our players aren't performing well enough. Why don't our firsts pass as good as our Reggie team can ? Why isn't Burton kicking bombs high like he was last year. He said in a pre-season interview he can kick even higher now. If there were a fumble or 2 from his kicks it could have made the difference in winning that game.

Yeah thats my point on Okenbour. He really should have no business learning first grade forward play in first grade. There's other forwards who are better 100% effort players like Morrin and Topine. Oki's size does not help in rucking it out or tackling and its just a matter of time before butter fingers, escort to try line, dumbfounded with what just happened Oki makes his presence felt.

Plays for us so wish him well but its a strange decision to throw him in over others.

Jayden did the job he was asked to do without any errors which is more than some of our other players did. Of courses the coach is going to pump up his tyres because we fucking need him to fill a role. I get people are disappointed by the loss but some of the nit picking is just fucking ridiculous.

If you are having a go at me I didnt single out Oki. I was questioning Ciro saying he had a great game and one of our best.
He played for 25 mins and made 4 runs for 32 metres with 18 tackles and one miss. I didnt say he was useless as was replied to me by Doogie.

Obviously good on him if he does the job he is asked to do.

My complaint is being picked in the first place in preference to Topine, Morrin even Billy and theres Tanner sitting dwiddling his thumbs on the bench.

We made an error replacing a Penrith assistant with another Penrith assistant.
Both using the same game plan. Which was a failure when applied to us.

Agree to an extent. But would you rather Topine in your pack or Oki when we have forwards who dont dominate or get past the advantage line.

So the coach is telling the world Topine and Morrin are no good and can't get a game in front of a fumbling tall winger who failed in the forwards years ago and they had to put him to wing.
I just think its wrong. They deserve their chance over a failed winger who they are transitioning to the forwards in first grade of all places.
