The CoE is at Homebush but at least some NSWRL staff are based at Moore Park.

ARLC Directors all have other jobs / sit on other boards etc - ARLC isn’t a full time gig. PVL meeting at RNSW offices would be purely logistics given the RNSW Spring Carnival is still on and also many NRL staff are on leave being off-season and before the 2023 campaign gets into full swing, there’s probably not a lot happening in Moore Park.

Really don’t think there’s much to see here…
Let's be honest.. V'landys is more than just a board member or director.. He runs the NRL and Abdo is the CEO in title only. Sure Abdo would do all of the boring day to day tasks, but V'landys makes all of the key decisions. Which wasn't the set up previously with the way the committee was set up..

If V'landys is going to be making key decisions on the NRL, he shouldn't also be running Racing NSW at the same time. Which is a huge job in itself.

Every previous NRL CEO or leader dedicated themselves full time to the role. Maybe if V'landys wasn't working with Racing NSW as well, and had more time to focus on the NRL, the CBA and Cap amount would have been sorted out several months ago like it should have been..

Vlandys is a match and race fixing bastard, he has no interest in fairness, or a fair contest. That's why inept officiating is permitted, why poor performing referees are never dropped and why the game is sponsored by betting agencies . . .

Not true.

Abdo is the CEO as was Greenberg, Smith, Gallop etc.
PVL is the Chairman, as was Beattie, Grant etc.

I appreciate that you’ve got a beef with PVL and gambling and that’s your prerogative, but the executive structure hasn’t changed.

As for the cap not being finalised, yes, preferable to be done by this point but no doubt there’s reasons why which we’re not privvy to. And I don’t think PVL’s day job has anything to do with that - otherwise the RLPA would be screaming from the hilltops that the NRL are not resourcing the process adequately.

He's a dick sinking the ship
And he’s for Abdo there who is only sucking Vlandys off and being his yes man.
They slandered Greenberg but I bet Vlandys wanted him gone because he wouldn’t be his Bitch. Made up all this rubbish about hai excessive spending that was costing the NRL, got his mate Kent to peddle it on TV and everyone believed it. Looks like the NRL is worse off.
Was reading Politis comments on the draw earlier and I couldn’t agree more with his remarks - he called it a TV schedule, not a draw, and he is absolutely correct. Media has the NRL by the balls.

I thought the structure was the CEO reports to the commission, who Vlandys leads.

Except…betting agencies were involved in the NRL in sponsor/partnerships long before PVL was there.

But, let’s not let facts get in the way of a good rant :-).

Correct. CEO is an employee, reports to the ARLC, which PVL Chairs. ARLC Directors are not employees.

So what you're saying is corruption isn't new ? And let's leave it to a specialist?

Every new Chairman brings in their own team.
Nothing to do with anyone being a yes man or not. Greenberg’s cards were marked as soon as Beattie left, as were Gallop’s when Grant came in. I’ve seen it a thousand times in business, it’s not unusual.

And of course broadcast has influence in the draw - they stump up the hundreds of millions that keep the clubs and the game alive. If it was my money I’d want the same thing - no such thing as a free lunch.

V'landys is the one that implemented the six again rule, the head high crackdown and several other key measures, not whoever the token CEO was at the time. He's admitted to this several times. He's way more hands on and involved in key decisions to rule changes than Beattie or Grant were. Which is surprising considering V'landys has no Rugby League background..

I could care less about the gambling side of it in relation to V'landys and am not claiming corruption.. Just out of control ego, irrational decision making while ruining the balance of the code as we know it. I think he's done a horrible job with the NRL and it's no coincidence that the competition has never been less competitive than it has since he took over.

Add to that the arrogance of his decisions and how he runs the NRL like a dictatorship, and it's easy to see why myself and others want him gone and will rightly criticise him and the others running the game when farcical situations like this arise.

There will be no consistency whilst sponsors can lose money on their investments . . .I believe they call it a conflict of interests

Again not true.

The Innovation Committee oversees rule changes and that’s Chaired by Wayne Pearce. Other members include Craig Bellamy, Ricky Stuart, Luke Keary and Damien Cook. They all get a vote.

Rule changes don’t happen overnight. Obviously some they got wrong like the original implementation of set restarts until it was tweaked, but it’s not as simple as PVL just making things up and forcing them through.

Anyway, it’s like PM’s - there’s no pleasing everyone. Remember all the ‘Greenturd’ posts on here and whoever succeeds PVL will have their detractors too. Not liking someone doesn’t prove ‘corruption’.

A lack of evidence, doesn't mean no crime. Nor does a lack of a crime mean there is no evidence. Plenty of crimes are solved with obvious, apparent evidence, after the fact . . . Hence the legal term " after the fact"
