Looks like another week out for Thompson. It would be great if the club came out with an injury update on him
The have pedalled out the same excuse weekly (cut and paste) concussion issues

If he’s suddenly ok this week, I reckon it confirms the only reason he didn’t play previously was the club trying to ship him off before August 1st (might have been what tigers meetings were meant to be about) and keeping him uninjured
Now the date has passed and he’s still here chewing up cap space since no other club was found will be interesting to see if his concussion issues are suddenly better

Thompson can't play until the concussion specialist signs off that he has 100% recovered AND the NRL Doctor accepts that and grants us clearance to play him. That could take as little as hours if he has recovered and is showing zero symptoms, OR as long as it takes until he shows no symptoms.

I don't know much about concussion stuff but would he be training if he doesn't have clearance? i.e that other post from reporter saying he was training with TPJ & RFM? Surely you wouldn't be allowed to run around etc?

Exactly. People get too caught up blaming coaches, boards, trainers etc. At the end of the day we all want Luke fit and playing well for us.

I find it amusing some want to act like mother hen all caring & loving then say it’s a “bad look” that he isn’t playing. Talk about fake.
I personally don’t want to see a young bloke rush back before he’s ready & end up like Adam Ritson.

I do agree with some that he hasn’t been played to his strengths but our team has also been decimated with injuries as well as lacking size & experience
Adam Ritson had a brain cyst. He was lucky he got concussion because he may never have known it was there until it was too late if it wasn't for John Lomax. A slightly different situation here.

I said like Adam Ritson as in the way he presents. I’m sure you got my point mate

Well we can all agree he is a quality player and was an important part of the St Helens and England teams.

We've all seen him play well with us and, back to his best, he would be a huge addition to the team with this more attacking gameplan.

Not his fault previous Management paid overs. See how things pan out now.

No contact would be the requirement, especially no head contact.

It really depends on how severe the symptoms are, I had vertigo after a concussion, projectile vomiting, and couldn't even stand up, let alone walk or run, for about a week. Very light sensitive too, totally dark room for a couple of days. Gradually got better, took several weeks to get back to anything like normal.

I can't see if there is a "no contact" bib, so he might be getting close.

Seeing him on the field training is a good sign for him.

He doesn't look like he has dropped any condition at all, the body looks ready to go, hopefully the head is also ready.

Thompson is only present so he keeps getting paid.

He's never playing for Dogs again.

The fact that no-one at the club is updating the health or potential return of a marque player (money wise) back to the field, suggests that there is something else in the background going on. Virtually nothing from the coaching staff, Gould, the board or even the player himself..

Absolutely ridiculous some people are passing judgment on Luke without knowing all the details.
I don’t expect our management to talk about his mum or his lingering concussion which is no joke.
That’s right mate and then sucking up to him in the next post. I feel very sorry for the bloke and just can’t imagine being on the other side of the world if that was my mum
