Oh please, the guys earning near $20k a week and is a key figure in our team, so if he is going to continuously miss half the season then people are going to question his inclusion in our team.
So what's the end game? Considering he's contracted for next season we really only have 3 options

1. Wait until he's healthy and hope he kills it under new coaching
2. Wait until he's healthy and if he doesn't play well we ship him off somewhere else next year, probably paying close to half his salary
3. Get rid of him before he's healthy and then have to pay him all of his salary anyway

Hopefully doctor signs him off and he’s back next week and also his mum is still with us for when he
$20k a week don’t flatter yourself, do you think Luke is interested in how much money he is earning, let me tell you it’s the last thing on his mind !, hopefully he gets signed off this week to play, then he will prove his value
sorry $17K .. if he wasn’t concerned about the $ value he’d have asked for a release and signed with one of the 4 super league clubs that were interested in him so he could remain beside his sick mother.

No contact would be the requirement, especially no head contact.

It really depends on how severe the symptoms are, I had vertigo after a concussion, projectile vomiting, and couldn't even stand up, let alone walk or run, for about a week. Very light sensitive too, totally dark room for a couple of days. Gradually got better, took several weeks to get back to anything like normal.

I can't see if there is a "no contact" bib, so he might be getting close.

Always a Bulldog
He doesn’t require a bib when he’s training insulation with RFM and TPJ who are also carrying injuries. Bibs are usually worn during team activities.

When was the last time the club has given a update on him, if you look at Ponga for instance we all know that he's out with a concussion.

Pretty sure it’s been said a billion times he’s still got lingering concussion issues
Yeah and when was the last time something came out from the club about his status? He’s not listed on the casualty ward on NRL.com or Foxsports so yeah some of us would like to know what’s going on

Club need to come out and explain what the hell is going on with Thompson.

I understand his mother was unwell, but he's back in Australia now (has been several weeks), and yet still not playing.

If his concussion is that bad, medically retire him.

He’s travelling with the team at the weekend, is it up north somewhere ?, because they’re flying direct onto NZ afterwards, hopefully he’s fit to play
If he can improve under Potter as much as most of the other players have he could be dynamic in attack.

That’s the most frustrating thing about it all, the way and style of play the team are now playing, suits him down to ground, he’d have ripped it up, anyway we,ll be seeing it shortly
I sensed he was playing too many minutes under Barrett which was one of the reasons for defensive issues.

It wasn’t the minutes he was playing, Barrett was useless, he had his favourites/ his signings etc and the game play revolved around them
The club is now a good place to be and we’re all seeing it now on the pitch

always a bulldog !

Gee we love crapping on this bloke don't we.

Who's to say he won't turn into a player worth his contract under new coaching? Mick Potter has turned JMK into a first grade standard player, stands to reason he could turn a bloke with actual talent into an out and out star
We have been waiting for 2 years
