Yeah it's pretty easy to sit on your couch wearing a toupee regurgitating shit that has already happened
Hopefully we have learnt from our past mistakes. Napa was up there with the shittest signings we've made and then we doubled down with the second roosters reject in Flanno. No more please.

If he's so shit how did he help guide the Jets to a Final?
He must of been able to play footy at some stage in his life?

I still think it was worth having a shot at trying to turn Flanagan into a decent halfback considering what we had in our roster last off season.

It was a throw at the stumps and we missed sometimes they come off sometimes they don't.

As others have mentioned the major error was the 3 year deal.

Maybe because of trindall, Bayley and Kennedy in the spine. Not to mention a decent forward pack.. and it's reserve grade.

Some people are able to shoulder the weight when the spotlight / responsibility is on them

and then there are those

Who shit themselves and turn to deers in the headlights as soon as the slightest amount of spotlight / responsibilty is on them.
I believe Kyle is in the second group of people.

If SuperCoach Loz said this in March not August he might have more credibility. Instead, I defer to these results for the quality of Loz’ selections and tactics:

Yeah but Elliot and Flanagan aren’t on mega dollar deals both are well under 400K per season I think if my memory serves!
Elliot would be on more than 400k because we panicked at him going to dragons and resigned the Muppet. Flanno is on something very close to 400k per season. Even if they were on 350k each, would you want to waste 700k (around 8% of the salary cap) on these 2 duds??

with hindsight, everyone is smart...
Yeah that is true.. but some people did mention that the Roosters don't let quality go at the time.. they turned out to be correct. We were also burned by Napa in similar circumstances.

Besides the coach gets paid top dollar to have that foresight. That is his job

Barretts picks of Flanno, Allen, Elliot and Wadell have been terrible. That's alot of money wasted on guys that will be hanging around for another 2 years. Everyone on TK knew that we either keep 1 of Jacko or Elliot.
Bro i knew from the beggining allen mr naked at the pub and waddel and jacko resignings were shit descions and who would sign flanno for 1million

I'm hoping flanno can play well in the blue and white for the rest of the year that way we can get rivals interesting in signing him

Lol at the article, didn’t the roosters buy him from the sharks????
Didn’t the roosters see the red flags before signing him???
Always having a dig at the dogs.
We took a gamble and it backfired bad luck we move on.

Roosters moved him on within a year, let's see how long it takes us to do the same.

Yeah I understand that hopefully we can do the same.
My point was roosters saw something in him to buy him. All we can do now is move on.

Hopefully we can because he doesn't come across as the type of person you want around the playing group. Never seen so much noise around a player just because he got dropped.

Only hope we have is Shane Flanagan getting a head coaching gig, and Kyle going to play with him. Else we are stuck with the Leyland P76 of NRL players.

Under Australain Consumer Law we should be able to get a refund or reasonable replacement from Roosters as the player is not fit for the purpose we bought him for.

They didn't spend a fortune in him.
