In 2008 we signed a 32 year old Brett Kimmorley who with all due respect isn't as good as Adam is.
Excuse me?
The Australian halfback that forced the greatest player of his generation, maybe ever, from half to hooker wasn’t as good as Reynolds? Who has only played origin twice due to injury and not for his country.
No disrespect to Reynolds but Kimmorley was a much better, and respected player.

Not to mention when he left Cronulla they went from second to spooners and brought us from spooners to minor premiers - what’s that say

EXCLUSIVE: Cashed-up Sharks circle Adam Reynolds ... and they’re in the box seat
NRL PREMIERSHIP

The Cronulla Sharks have privately discussed making a play for premiership-winning South Sydney halfback Adam Reynolds in light of the Chad Townsend bombshell to North Queensland.
Incoming Sharks coach Craig Fitzgibbon will meet with Cronulla halfback Townsend on Tuesday before the black, white and blue No.7 is expected to tell his teammates on Wednesday he has signed with the Cowboys.
Townsend has an option for 2022 in his favour with Cronulla but has clearly had a change of heart given the Cowboys $2 million three-year offer to head to Townsville and steer the Cowboys.

Townsend, 30, is tipped to make his move to North Queensland official on Wednesday.
Fox Sports has learned the Sharks have already discussed a number of contingency plans with the preferred option being to sign Reynolds to the three-year deal he is seeking.
The Cowboys made a play for Reynolds but the Bunnies halfback is believed to have held concerns about moving to Townsville.
The Sharks are cashed-up with around $4 million to spend with big-name stars Josh Dugan, Matt Moylan, Shaun Johnson and Aaron Woods all off contract this season.

Reynolds, 30, is the perfect game-managing replacement for the black, white and blue club.
Fitzgibbon has been privately telephoning Sharks players to set-up individual meetings in the coming week as he works his way through taking over control of the club as of October.
South Sydney have stipulated all along they are only prepared to offer Reynolds a 12-month contract for next year and then assess on a year by year basis rolling forward.
But the champion little No.7 has stipulated all along he wants the security of a three-year contract and all roads are now appearing as though the Sharks are in the box seat.

Nah, we'll be right. Don't bother making an offer to the best halfback available right now. We have Flanno...:rage:

Just imagine him running around with Burton outside him and jac on the flanks! That’s 6-12 points a game there

This will be a sliding doors moment.

Fitzgibbon will likely go on and become a premier coach due to sustained success over the next 3 years with Reynolds. Barrett on the other hand will disappear into the sunset by picking players he thought he could improve....

All he had to do was make Reynolds an offer he couldn’t refuse. This guy brings success, saves careers and everyone is happy!!

Reynolds, Cheese, Finucane (2nd choice Tapau). If we get Naden cheap, all good. The rest of the spots vacated by the numpty 15 filled from Mounties.

And get Bupa to coach Hetho one on one to just reign it in a fraction

Reynolds will sign with Cronulla, he’s already knocked back Cowboys saying he doesn’t want to be that far from family and so you can rule out the Broncos too.
Sharks have offered him what he was asking for and he’ll sign there.

According to one of our sponsors, both the sharts and us have made big arse offers to Reynolds. Baz is embarrassed about Flopagan and is looking to save face.
