I massively rate Staggs but this does seem like overs. Interesting how much of our cap is likely to be invested in our backline, it's definitely a refreshing change from days past when even if we were short a centre or winger, we'd just buy another prop.

I reckon as the season progresses we'll realize one of the key areas we need to bolster is ironically enough an enforcer-type front row forward. I have hope Hetherington or Ogden can fill that role but needs to be said they both didn't look as strong as the Sharks forward pack in the trial.

I believe he's on 650K at least but it wouldn't surprise me if it was a fair bit more - definitely fullback money but I think it might be a little less than 800K. I remember we knocked back Latrell Mitchell at that time because he said he wanted to play fullback and we considered we'd already signed our fullback in DWZ for decent money.

Regardless, Staggs is not worth $100k or 200k less than Munster or Cook. He is worth at least $400k less than those guys. I would rather we spend the extra $100k or 200k (plus the $800k supposedly being asked for by Staggs) on a top of the game rockstar.
