But NRL won't register contracts if a club is over the cap (unless you are one of those clubs with a "soft cap").It was reported DWZ was on 800k per year.
Now who knows what the Panthers will be paying him to play at a different club, but there is noway a player will renegotiate their current contract for a lesser value
Reading all reports, this reminds me of the Woods signing and getting rid of our captain Graham!
Tigers have signed DWZ and are trying to work out how they can get rid of Mbye in the nicest and most respectable way
DWZ shouldn't be anything over 450k max. If he's on anywhere near 800k that's just horrible value and we should stay well away.It was reported DWZ was on 800k per year.

The Anderson’s have great football brains, they will be after him [emoji817]..Do you think we're actually trying to sign him though? I have massive doubts.
Come on mate.He hasn't made a decision yet club is still waiting on an answer
Hes had a meeting today with his manager and cant sign for tigers until they release someoneCome on mate.
Noone is going to ask for a release from their club if they haven't signed elsewhere
People are saying he'd come here to play wing / centre? Captain of NZ would be moved out of position to accommodate the 'red hot form' Meaney? Man, what are people thinking ....Exsctly. That's why I'm saying DWZ wouldn't want to come here to play wing or centre like people are suggesting with their projected lineups.
and the problem the Tigers are faced with, is if they want to offload Mbye to Cowboys, Cowboys have a huge number of off contract players this year, so a delicate balancing act with the cap for 2020.Hes had a meeting today with his manager and cant sign for tigers until they release someone
Just can't see how the Tigers can sign him? Getting players to leave at this stage of the year would be very difficult, especially in a short space of time. Sureuly DWZ wouldn't be happy to sit on the sidelines much longer in limbo?Hes had a meeting today with his manager and cant sign for tigers until they release someone
We had no trouble moving players prior to June 30 last year I think it just depends on how much Tigers are willing to throw contract wise to clear some players. We will only be a chance if the Tigers can’t get the deal done.Just can't see how the Tigers can sign him? Tigers chip in and pay a few hundred thousand of his salary per year and we play him at centre. It’s not that bad to be honest.Moses Mbye has been linked to rival clubs
"Moses Mbye has reportedly been linked to a return to the Bulldogs or a move to the Cowboys as he prepares to fight for his spot at the Wests Tigers.
Tigers coach Michael Maguire declared after his team’s loss on Friday Mbye will captain the NRL club “moving forward” — but his decision to shift Mbye to the centres on Friday was met with reports the Queensland star is considering leaving."
Please God, no.
Fuck me, I just had a decent vomit into my mouth reading that.Moses Mbye has been linked to rival clubs

So we'd still end up paying 500-600k/year for a bang average, barely first grade standard centre. And furthermore have to cop more of his insufferable media work on an almost daily basis. No thank you!Tigers chip in and pay a few hundred thousand of his salary per year and we play him at centre. It’s not that bad to be honest.
Well we are throwing away $100K-$200K for him regardless so actually getting something for it wouldn’t be the worst thing. Like it or not but a bang average first grade centre is a upgrade on our current centre stocks. In saying this I’d rather he doesn’t come back but there are some positives in it.So we'd still end up paying 500-600k/year for a bang average, barely first grade standard centre.
