Honestly we are just one big fucking joke. I feel embarrassed to be a supporter right now. I've never seen such a poorly coached team in my life. They're robots. They play the same shit structures and game plan and don't know how to play off their natural instincts anymore.

Hasler is a fucking myth. The whole WORLD can see it.

Time to boycott. Enough is enough.

Yeah I know I'm asking Mr I, who hates Turvey, what he said that was incorrect
I'm not debating if what he said was correct or incorrect.. the fact remains regardless he was going to get stood down.

Talking out of line it was always going to end this way.

Don't say sorry to him Natboy you're 100% right he is a Mortimer hater and I don't care what he thinks - Steve Mortimer is no Idiot he knew he would be stood down for talking out of line but like the rest of us he had enough of Dick Head Des & had the balls to speak out because Steve Mortimer is the top dog & The Arch Bishop of Canterbury and so being man of his convictions he stood down with honour. Steve Mortimer is absolutely right.

Why would anyone be a Mortimer hater?
That's a very good Question perhaps he is not a true Bulldog supporter or does not know the history of the club or maybe he just never had the pleasure of watching him play. In my books if this NRL immortal thing was on the level then Steve Mortimer Should be an Immortal.

Mortimer as a player was one of the greats, like Lamb...
Mortimer as a board member is a COMPLETELY different kettle of fish. Just because I liked him as a player, doesn't mean I have to like him on the board.

....

Do you know who coached Steve Mortimer as a young player in Wagga Wagga? Raelene Castles dad!

So.. before anyone wants to point fingers about Des being a shitcunt (he is anyway but not solely to blame), or Ray Dib ruining the club (he is not solely to blame either), and that Mortimer should be this or that.. stop and think for a moment.... exactly how did Raelene Castle get the job as club CEO amongst many others after it?

Mortimer shoots his mouth off, going off half cocked, and has played every bit as much a part in the current shitstorm of a situation the club is in, as Dib, Hasler, Castle and Co.

firstly I rest my case you are definitely a Mortimer hater, secondly I don't give a fuck who coached Steve Mortimer in Wagga & if it is as you say Raelene Castles dad he did an outstanding job maybe he should be coaching our team, thirdly this all started with a simple question was Steve Mortimer right? so you through your infinite hate for Steve Mortimer went all technical and started tell us how he spoke out of line & was going to get stood down anyway which we already knew, every body else on the forum has stated that Mortimer was right in saying that des is not performing and if he gets resigned Mortimer would quit the board. You say Mortimer was a great player (UNDERSTATEMENT) but no good as a board member well this I wouldn't know because I've never been in the board room but the fact he sacrificed his position for something he strongly believed and the fans believe in & the terrible performances of our team & the boring style of play under Des Hassler makes me and most other loyal Bulldog Supporters believe that Steve Mortimer Top Dog & Arch Bishop of Canterbury was & is absolutely right & we admire him for speaking up so take your hate for our greatest player ever & shove it up your Arse (side ways ) & like Nate Dawg says "why would any one hate Steve Mortimer"?

OR A FORUM POST!!

As I can see that comprehension, grammar, and most certainly the use of paragraphs is not your strong point, I'll break it down to a very basic level that even a simpleton like you should be able to understand.

"Mortimer says he will quit the board if Hasler resigns with the club"

After talking out of line publically to the media about the Des situation and amping up the board of directors, CEO and coach end of year meeting as Des maybe getting sacked (which fanned serious flames around the media), the majority of the meeting ended up being the Directors roasting Castle over a million dollar budget blowout, after a short catch up with Des about the season. The presser which followed immediately after the meeting showed Castle looking like a scolded puppy, or that she'd been close to being sacked herself.

Castle has increasingly less support at the club... except Mortimer (who apparently was integral in getting her the job in the first place).

The comments he made in the media were made publically and without the approval of the board (and on behalf of the board), so he'd already earned himself a dismissal from the board for breaching their Code of Conduct even if Hasler DIDN'T resign with the club.

So the threat of "if Hasler resigns I'll quit" carries absolutely no weight at all. It's a childish tantrum, it's immature, and it screams attention seeker.

I can have an opinion on Steve Mortimer "The Player", and a different opinion of Steve Mortimer "The Board Member", however you seem to think they are one and the same, when they are mutually exclusive. Maybe that's because you want to ride or kiss the tip of his dick, and whatever fantasies you have behind closed doors, who am I to question.

He didn't "sacrifice his position", he spoke out of line against an employee and without fellow board approval, and got stood down. It's that simple.

But I'll say it again nice and slowly for you.

Steve Mortimer The Player: He was a great player for us, and carries the same legacy that Terry Lamb and other Bulldogs idols left the club with.

Steve Mortimer The Board Member: Spoke stupidly out of line, put the club in a very precarious position with the media, and paid the price for it.

Sure he was right, so its a fairly big shame he didn't use his vote on the board to effect change.

Given he was in the position to actually do something about it, I don't find it hugely admirable that he instead talked with the media and removed his ability to actually and directly do something about it.

WOW! what an impressive post your picture really doesn't do you justice.
To bad you just keep going around in circles trying to prove how brilliant you are.
As far as fantasies go your mind is like a triple X porn movie "Ride or Kiss the tip of his dick".
You must have been typing with one hand but judging by the pompous overtones of your posts you must be quite good at it.
Anyway we could keep going all day but I guess you must be a very busy person - hanging around board rooms and probably men's rooms all day and teaching grammar as well.

So we can just take it as a NO you don't think Steve Mortimer was right.

He talked about losing our dna yet he spoke to the media instead of solving this internally. This surely is not part of the club's dna

Maybe Mortimer speaking out is part of a longer term plan. A rival ticket with Mortimer on side will be very hard to stop at the next AGM. Bring it on.

Unless we have a spine like the Storm, these structures don't work and never will.

Yes he was right, all Des cares about are some bullshit stats on paper and he thinks if we hit those magical numbers we will just win somehow. It is absolutely insane.

I really hope that the old boys really are getting together to kick Dib and co out at the AGM. It is the only glimmer of hope I can imagine.
Guess he glossed over 6 wins 14 losses? The club has become an absolute disgrace.

Parts of what he said was right, others wrong.

The threat to resign, that was wrong. Us losing our identity, that may have been partially right, but the Bulldogs is a business and all businesses evolve to survive.
