Roosters twice in the space of 4 rounds LOL

NRL is a massive joke

Now that Des is gone we only play Manly once... NRL can't hype up the rivalry anymore.

Sorry Todd,
if you're happy with mediocrity then so be it.
It's for all those bullshit reasons I raise the question.
If the money is there. The media will pay what it's worth. Take less if it means running you're own game.
NO the draw does not have to be complicated. Whilst the traditional rivalry is good. It's the past. It shouldn't govern the games growth in the future.
Every team plays each other once. Sort all that tradition stuff out in rounds 1-15.
How you can play one team twice in a matter of weeks. And not play another team until the end of the season? Or Melbourne round 1 and that's it.
It's complicated because the NRL sell themselves out. They need to grow a pair and set the terms, when negotiating all corporate deals.
I don't follow the AFL but they are the NRL's bigger brother and getting bigger. Year by year. The same same approach at the NRL will hurt them badly.
That the best you got! You weren't raising a question you were whinging because you could. Yeah, good idea to take less, then we can pay the players less, have poorer quality teams and go back to park footy and then there will be nothing on TV for you to watch. There's nothing mediocre about either the draw or the comp. The best team always wins the comp and always has. How you get there has had no impact on the final result. Just because you don't care about our Good Friday clash with the Rabbits or any one of the other dozen or so traditional games that have been on the calendar in some cases for nearly a century doesn't mean the other few million fans don't. For the first time in a decade the NRL has major control over the scheduling of games and has done a pretty good job of it. On one hand people complain about 5 day turnarounds, on the other it is how closely two games against the same opposition are played. Yet still others complain about the lack of Sydney based rivalries and also about the lack of sequential programming of the draw. It can't be all things to all people. As long as the correct result gets us to the GF where the 2 best teams play each other then it really doesn't matter. If you don't follow them then why do you keep raising the AFL? They have much bigger problems than us across the board. The only difference is that they have no external influences because no-one else is interested in playing their stupid game and they have a friendly media run out of Melbourne.
