Am I the only one who thinks Steve Turner is a hack?

Idris is young and has plenty of mistakes in him but he's got plenty of raw talent and with the right kind of defensive player inside him, he might be that much better. Turner's defensive problems led directly to at least two of Morris' tries on the weekend and his miss on Matt Prior was nothing short of pathetic!! I know Prior is a lot bigger but he just got trampled. For a bloke who has played origin his start to the season has been woeful!!

Its obvious our right side is our weakness and with Kmmorley, Idris and Turner manning that side, we are fodder. Sorry but this is the reality. We can keep working on it all season but it will not change. Kimmorley gives his all in defence but he's a little bloke. Jamal has trouble reading the play and once their outside him, he's too slow. Turner is no El Masri in defence.

I would rather Idris on the wing where he can be less of a liability in defence and Roberts or even Halatau (when he comes back) in the centres. In my opinion, that is a much stronger combination.
I think that's a good idea... btw i too think that turner has been over-hyped... in short we shouldn't have signed him... why not give an up and coming player like a local junior or JTK a crack at fg... it is the wing afterall

Another option is to put idris in the second row. He is more mobile than most forwards and when he lines em up they stay hit. He is also making far more yards than most of our forwards per run.

Ditto, I really dont want Hickey starting but we have no other option seeing that Armit has only just come back.

2. Turner
3. Idris
4. Morris
5. Goodwin

12. Ryan
11. Warburton
10. Hickey
9. Ennis

my team,

1. Luke Patten
2. Steve Turner
3. Jamal Idris
4. Josh Morris
5. Bryson Goodwin
6. Ben Barba
7. Brett Kimmorley
8. Ben Hannant
9. Michael Ennis
10. Andrew Ryan
11. Gary Warburton
12. Daniel Harrison
13. David Stagg

14. Ben Roberts
15. Chris Armit
16. Yileen Gordon
17. Jarrod Hickey

we have to move Bobcate to to the front row, he is too slow for second row and he can also play 80 minutes, Hannant can also go almost 80 minutes.
Id give Harrison a go at lock/second row, we need more versatility and speed. he is as big or bigger than Auberson for the Roosters who is cutting them up at present.
Barba has got to start the game also, he needs to play 80 minutes and learn how to play 80 minutes in first grade.
The roosters/ tigers etc all look alot faster across the park then the dogs, our pack is not mobile enough.

I loved the miss for their first try where he just hugged Prior way after the ball had gone passed him so he looked like he had tried - the guy is a hack

Idris is in dreamtime and needs to come on as an impact player. Harsh on Turner as he is busier that a one armed wallpaper out there as he knows that Noddy ain't biggest and courage will only get you so far...Roberts can tackle but can't control the game at all, runs strong too so throw him into centre to shore it up for now. The forwards needs to fire up and bring some pride to their game, they've looked like fairies and not the team they were last year. How much can Ennis bring? He needs his mates to niggle as much as he does and take the fight to the opposing pack.

Easy from here too but to call a spade a spade, we have been gutless and that showed when only Barba went in the fray with Bryson. Barba to 5/8.

And bomb Carney...

Agro wont be playing this game for sure.. God im so happy

Canterbury forward Gary Warburton is facing up to three weeks on the sidelines after he was booked for a dangerous contact-head/neck offence in the loss to St George Illawarra on Friday night.

He will miss two weeks if he enters the early plea and three if he unsuccessfully defends the charge at the NRL judiciary.

left side defence, turner, roberts, idris, stagg (in line) roberts/stagg can cover idris
