I'd like to see this for 23 but it's too early to call as some players won't be re-signed (performance/salary cap reasons) and most likely 1-2 moved on (players with *'s in question). I think we have capable players and options to work with regardless if we lose a few. I don't think there will be anymore big signings. For the rest of the top 30 I'd just be throwing in kids, smart close to minimum wage signings here and there and maybe a few other players are re-signed (e.g. Wakeham as back-up but Rajab also coming through). We need to move on Flanagan, Waddell and Allan and anyone else on good money outside the top 17.

What would be the point of paying freight to offload Thompson and buying Junior Paulo at big $$$?
It was a stupid decision when the club re-signed Wakeham for 21/22 and under no circumstances should he be retained. We have far too many duds in the halves, he simply will never be a top class HB and dud Flanno is still on our books in 23.
If Dufty and Vaughan perform next year they'll only re-sign for a considerable upgrade so any other players off contract in 23 who consistently underperformed shouldn't be retained.

With the signing of Mahoney, I'd say that BBO will now be groumed for the NO 7 position, this will probably mean that Dufty and Averilo will have the oppurtunity to fight out for the NO1 position, and it will be interesting to what happens.
I'd still would like to see Herthington playing on the edge had his best game there last year. As for props my guess would be TPJ and either Thompson or Vaughn with Patolo and probably Ava for back up .

He is still young and has a fair way to go, however Averillo looks like a centre to me. He has all of the attributes and I'm not too concerned about a few of his early defensive lapses because he was a boy surrounded by fringe NRL players, plus he was heavily targeted. He is quick, allusive and has the football smarts. Also and equally as important is that he has plenty of courage.

In 23 I can see Averillo and Alamoti in the centres with Nadan and JAC on the wings. Burton and BBO in the halves.
Not sure about fullback, however I wouldn't write off Dufty.

If BBO can lock down the number 7 position down, Rhajab might be too good not to be in the side, so number 1 or 14 might be on his back.

In relation to Schoupp, I wouldn't be surprised if be ends up in the back row, however he also provides us with depth in the backs.

Has Rajab got the tools to be a 1? Haven't seen much of him.

My suggestion for our top 30 in 2023 is wait until 2022 starts first and see how the season unfolds.

So many injuries, changes in form and player movements will happen between now and then. Some players we expect to be starters might struggle. Other juniors or lesser known players might exceed expectations. That's why it's pointless looking so far ahead.

He played a bit there this year after he got promoted up a division.
