Yep I was thinking the same. If he were staying they would have re-signed him by now. I read the Cows are offering him a cut price deal. He's originally from Sydney. This year he averaged 114 metres per game and had a 96% tackle efficiency in 19 games. Not bad at 31yo. We got a lot of depth in the backs now so you would think Gus would want the same in the forwards. These 3 or 4 would give us that.

I think McLean could be similar signing to Tamou at Panther but a lot cheaper and not so many years. It isn't the most pretty signing but we're pretty desperate for middles and experience.
