you can say JAC is a better winger for sure but they're 2 different players with completely different strengths, Tupou was obviously chosen for 2 reasons being high ball and metres, and based on how game 2 panned out it was the right tactical decision, the NSW back 3 all made over 200m and was pivotal in establishing the NSW territorial dominance, the middles didn't have to waste their gas tank getting on side and taking tackle 2 and tackle 3 hit ups off their own line, Tupou's aerial threat also resulted in Holmes giving away that escort penalty which kind of turned the game on its head. You can argue JAC should've been there to start with but how do you possibly justify dropping a player who ran for 200m, 70 PCM, 10 tackle breaks, a try and a line break in a game where you won by 32 points?
