Left of field one here, Wighton in for Luai
There is no doubt Queensland will get the rub of the green at Suncorp. Particularly with 50,000 dumb ass locals putting pressure on the referee. I wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised if Queensland make moves behind the scenes to replace Ashley Klein and bring our old favourite Gerard Sutton out of mothballs for this game.People keep saying Wighton was our best player in game 1 but Matt Burton played the same position in game 2 and played better than Wighton did in game 1. Burton has the combo with Cleary, Luai & To'o. He should keep the left centre spot.
Crichton was our worst player by far, he desereves to be dropped. The question then is who replaces him? It's either Latrell Mitchell or Jack Wighton. To me if Latrell Mitchell looks fit enough this weekend for Souths he gets the spot.
In a game 3 in Queensland we need game breakers and game winners because I'm telling you from now the ref will allow Queensland to hold us down more. That's why for me Latrell Mitchell & JAC should play.
Fittler has been very successful as NSW coach and he did herald in a new generation of players... but he also benefitted from the retirements of that great QLD generation of Thurston, Smith, Inglis, Cronk, Scott etc. and he lost a very winnable series in 2020 and could have locked in a clean sweep of QLD last year with all three games awayFittler can build a Blues dynasty if we wins up in QLD. He will go down as one of the most legendary coaches in Blues history.
the one big difference between Billy Slater and Tedesco was Slater's ability to play in coordination with the rest of the spine players whereas Tedesco is an all action pinball but doing little in concert with his other teammatesI wonder how good Tedesco could be if he ever passes the ball.
Qld built their dynasty on the retirements of Andrew Johns & Brad Fittler. It goes in circles.Fittler has been very successful as NSW coach and he did herald in a new generation of players... but he also benefitted from the retirements of that great QLD generation of Thurston, Smith, Inglis, Cronk, Scott etc. and he lost a very winnable series in 2020 and could have locked in a clean sweep of QLD last year with all three games away
a generation or two of NSW players that failed to live up to potential helped --> Todd Carney, Jarrod Mullen, Jarryd Hayne (mainly his NFL sojourn), Jamie Soward, Terry Campese, Braith Anasta etc.Qld built their dynasty on the retirements of Andrew Johns & Brad Fittler. It goes in circles.
Isn't Mullen in prison now for some dumb drug related shit?a generation or two of NSW players that failed to live up to potential helped --> Todd Carney, Jarrod Mullen, Jarryd Hayne (mainly his NFL sojourn), Jamie Soward, Terry Campese, Braith Anasta etc.

That could just be a dream I had....
Jarryd Hayne doesn't belong in that category. He was easily our best Origin player between 2006-2015.a generation or two of NSW players that failed to live up to potential helped --> Todd Carney, Jarrod Mullen, Jarryd Hayne (mainly his NFL sojourn), Jamie Soward, Terry Campese, Braith Anasta etc.
true... but after the 2014 Origin success, he lost two years in trying to make it in the NFL and the player that came back from America was never the same unfortunatelyJarryd Hayne doesn't belong in that category. He was easily our best Origin player between 2006-2015.
And that is irrelevant to QLD dominating Origin. He played when we broke their streak in 2014 and was the player of the series.true... but after the 2014 Origin success, he lost two years in trying to make it in the NFL and the player that came back from America was never the same unfortunately
we lost three straight series following that win thoughAnd that is irrelevant to QLD dominating Origin. He played when we broke their streak in 2014 and was the player of the series.

1. James Tedesco
02. Brian To'o
03. Matt Burton
04. Stephen Crichton
05. Daniel Tupou
06. Jarome Luai
07. Nathan Cleary
08. Payne Haas
09. Apisai Koroisau
10. Jake Trbojevic
11. Cameron Murray
12. Liam Martin
13. Isaah Yeo
14. Damien Cook
15. Jack Wighton
16. Angus Crichton
17. Junior Paulo
Basically Wighton comes in Talakai comes out.
And it's his fault because he went to the NFL?we lost three straight series following that win though
Cotter won't play game 3 he's out till round 20I think QLD getting blown out in the 2nd half will lead to an ambush in the decider at Suncorp.. It wouldn't surprise me if QLD start off very strong and get a decent early lead. After how soft and embarrassing they were in that 2nd half, they'll be fired up.
I think they missed Cotter's defence a lot in game 2. Hopefully he can play game 3
