4. Wighton
5. Addo Carr
6. Luai

Our backrow choices for game 1 were a joke and with the pace of Origin you need an agile forward pack.

I think Xavier Coates has a syndesmosis injury and is out for game 2.

I like that backline much better, and Burton is a much better choice than S.Crichton on the bench.

I’d pick RCG over Martin on the bench though.

Just throw in Oates. Gagai loves to rush up in defense and I think you need a defender better than the hammer out there. You have enough spark in that QLD backline to exclude the hammer.

Liam Martin should never play Origin again. How he's picked ahead of others is beyond me. All he does is tackle.

He had 6 runs for 31 metres in 80 minutes last night with 4 missed tackles and 1 error.

If he didn't play for Penrith, he'd barely be a bench player at club level

You can change the players but you can't give them hearts and backbones.

I know it's dissapointing JAC missed out but anyone calling for tupou to be dropped must have watched a different game to me I thought he was one of the Blues best

I would bring in Api Koroisau on the bench. Hunt and Grant killed us. Cook can’t play 80 minutes
Either Api starts and Cook plays the last 30 min to use his speed or I'd start Cameron McIness for 30 minutes, bring on Cook and move CM to the forwards.

At least 2 chances in the first half wasted on the right because we didn't have JAC's speed. There would of been more too if JAC was playing. Also I think Tupou could of done better on the Ponga > Holmes ball for the try. Tupou's height isn't really a benefit when QLD bomb to To'o most of the time.
