no top tier coach is coming when we don't have forwards or halves

Na not from starting from 2025 far he's done his time he should call it a day. He'd be almost 80 when his contract would be run out lol.

A million flights a season, late nights and hotel rooms sounds like hard work at that age.

He deserves some rest

No to Wayne. He went after 10 + marquees didn't attract one to dolphins in their inaugural season so he has lost his pull. The reason being because he isnt considered a long term coach at 74 years of age. Now the real interesting position would be a director of football operations but then Ciraldo, Gould & him have to collaborate & unkle Wayne doesnt play well with other people as does Gould. So all in all its in the no basket.

Yeah, there's something seriously wrong with our team.

Sure, we'll jag a win here and there and some in the TK will think "we are back", but 3 or 4 wins in the season is not good enough for this roster.

To me, the spine has been neglected way too long.

Correct @Marki for me the spine is a real concern and even though we have blown up the 2021 side (don't ignore facts that we re-signed some players in 2022 since letting them go) we still haven't got a spine sorted out. It's going to be a lottery every week and maybe into next year as well. Two marquee players Burton and Mahoney don't fire enough shots for their marquee status and their standing within the club. Both made a hash of the leadership last year. Crichton is the right call for captain.

As poorly as Wests Tigers played yesterday we know what their 2025 spine is going to be and it will be that way until Api retires end of 2026. After that possibly JMK for 2 years. The 1-6-7 will be together for 5yrs. They unearthed Galvin and I reckon that Benji is the type of character who will now stick by him. The issue for them is Sezer trying to hold the fort for this year and trying to offload Sullivan.

We have no clue what our spine is going to be like later this year when Gould and Ciraldo eventually lose patience or what it will be like next year. We are hoping that a bunch of SG Ball, Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup players might come through in the coming years. Whilst nice it's high risk strategy and we lose our eye on today.

Winning NRL game is 95% of what a football teams business should be all about.
