Why don't we hire a specialist halves coach for the rest of this year ?

We didn't have one when Barrett was coach because Gus considered Barrett our halves coach having been a 5/8 himself. What's the excuse now ? Potter was a fullback.

Burton and Flanagan could be learning some valuable lessons for the rest of this year so it's not a total waste. We could have them trained up a lot for next year. We're just sitting on our hands it seems.

Hire Benji maybe. Sherwin was doing some work but it's hardly anything from what I read. Like 1 day a week. We should have a specialist at EVERY ball work session to focus on our halves only.

Hes been here 6 months.
Said he needed time to sit back and observe to see what the fuck was going on. Dont just come into an organization and start sacking everyone under a cap.
We needed a new coach. Halfway there.
We need to start getting rid of plodders, Naden, Dufty gone.
Ferris gone.
Rumors Hetho gone.
And a new coach will bring in his own staff surely.
Gus is a draw card for new players.

What has Gus promised? He told us that it was going to get worse before it gets better.
I too dont believe he is the Messiah. Master manipulator yes.

Now Imagine if we didnt have him.

I absolutely hate where we are at, its unacceptable. But at present its our reality and Gus isnt the problem

We've had halves coaches over the years like Shifty and none of them have made a big difference. Then again they've had no talent to work with..

Noddy was our best halves coach. He's very knowledgable and communicates really well. I'd like to see him in that role if they did go down that route again..
