with matua going to the centres, the logical thing to do would have been bringing in a forward perhaps kouparitsas, maybe brideson. the PL forwards have been performing its has been the backs letting the team down.

i know very little about our PL players, but i would have like to have seen one of the centres get a run that way we could move sbw or maitau to the forwards

That looks like a half decent team on paper with a good mix of youth talent and experience.

Why is this team loosing every week???

Must be other teams have 2 first grade teams???

The good players are
Big mac, Roberts, Hickey, Irvine,

Then the young guns that i would like to see in the future would be
Saleh, vaefaga, Big karl, young armpit.

Probably the reason this team is struggling is because they are all still flegg players and they are coming up against 25-30 year old wanna be thug NRL players.

Hope this doesnt damage any of these young guns and stunts their development.

I agree i think Davui is alright, he played well in the pre-season game down at Mollymook against the sharks, he was one of the star players that day, considering none of the big names played he did well. I would say he's a real star in the making and we would be able to see that if Folkes would give him a run, i reckon he would come really good, especially if he were playing with big names.

Nice to see the club's recruitment in full force, having had the opportunity to trial Brett Kelly, we turned him down and said he had no future at the dogs, despite being the son of a Bulldogs favourite. It's unfortunate that his last name wasn't Hughes. Not to mention Lee Hookey and Nathan Merritt were turned away. Our recruitment over the past two years has been pathetic and whether that was the reason behind Mark Hughes' departure we will never know. We're extremely lucky to have some good local juniors such as Hickey and McNichol coming through.
