Burton to fullback, Bronson to centre.....
Have said all along fullback is his best position and still allows him to kick if needed..
I have no problem with this. However some of the off-season spent at fullback would have been needed. He is too lazy off the ball to last a full game at fullback currently.

Let’s be honest. When the team gets announced tomorrow it will be the same team picked as last week. With injuries the only forced changes.

CC works at glacial speed in recognising areas of the game and players who are not the best.

I want to get behind him and support him. However when we get totally outplayed by a team that won’t be a top 8 side come September, and he sits there in the presser saying how proud he is and how good they played. Wow just Wow

What we need is for Ciraldo to be more willing to give the young guys a go..
We have guns in NSW and Flegg.
Look at the Warriors..Giving young Tuapiki a chance..AND THEY HAVE RTS IN THE SIDE!!
We need more spark, and the NSW cup side clearly have more than 1st’s.
In the interim…I don’t understand why no one is suggesting Mann at 6.
Big body and plenty of experience, and I’m sure he played a few games at 6 for the STORM and KNIGHTS.
TRACEY
KIRAZ
BURTON
CRITTA
XERRI (let’s see what he has on the wing with his speed)
MANN
SEXTON
I WOULD HAVE TAAFE AT 14…GOOD PACE TO COVER BACKLINE

The only numbers that really mattered;

Completions, Bulldogs 72% 24/33 Parramatta 89% 41/46
Possession Parramatta 59% v Bulldogs 41%
Minutes in possession Parramatta 30:13 Bulldogs 20:59
Average Play the Ball Speed Parramatta 3.42s Bulldogs 3.55s

And the major reason for the above;
Errors Parramatta 4 Bulldogs 13 (with 8 players contributing)

I don't give fark who the halves are, they are going to be useless if the above continues.

These are things that we can be the owners of our destiny over. We can't be bigger than our opposition forwards. We can't get a fair go or 50/50 from refs but we can, and must, improve handling and discipline and our bench minutes CC manages also. There are still some areas we can help ourselves with and not just submit.

Worth a gamble :grinning: and a fair bit of upside.

with Hayward on the bench to cover 12 and backs.
Hutchinson would definitely put Kikau through some holes

Why did Gould and CC sign him mid last year knowing his defence was terrible. If that’s the main reason they are keeping him out of the team. Strange decisions from the brass

It doesn’t really matter, any combination of the halves we have will be ordinary but Burton has to go back to centre.

It’s an absolute crime that we have Kikz, critta and what was ado car, and have 0 ability to play them to their heightened abilities. I am giving burto one more go but he isn’t a half. At best he’s a bit like a jack wighton, but it also means we need sexton. Hutch is a utility

Like that team. While I like Skelton I’m not convinced his defence is up to it just yet. Samuel Luiwezy put 5 tries on him down that edge in NSW Cup. And Brad Arthur would never pick that kid for first grade.

Indeed the players will build and be a stronger opponent this week against a very strong Cronulla team. I am concerned our forwards just are going to fade in the last 20 of the match and perhaps this main factor is a prelude to having a good look at the kicking game. We're not turning the other teams around enough in metres. Need to be better placed kicks and I'd like to see more kicks from Mahoney to allow us to all be onside with the chase. Smart selection of kicks and putting pressure on their Back 5 please without giving away penalties.

XERRI (let’s see what he has on the wing with his speed)
Xerri is shit under the high ball, just ask him, he will tell you. To the best of my knowledge has never trained there, never played there, doesn't want to play there. Bottom line, he's a specialist centre.

Surprised by that no one in first grade should be shit under a high ball…catching the ball is a fundamental skill of the game.

CC isn’t changing the halves but he may as well swap them and have Hutchinson play left seeing he knows how to unlock Kikau
If CC remains firm on positions, I think this is smart…. Hutch being “pass first” makes sense on our strongest side of the field with Burton lining up on the Right strengthening that side. It means defences can’t stack one side of the field to mitigate our one sided strengths.
