Was brett howland signed for big money?
He came with a reputation but was a dud under the high ball (we are pretty much still hopeless under contested bombs) played a handful of games and ended up in reserve grade. I think went to Penrith and may have played back row there (don't quote me on that)
Outrun sailor once when he was playing for cronulla. Our recruitment has been very hit and miss. We have signed some great players (Morris, Ennis, stagg, halligan, Britt, Pritchard), but have signed a few duds (holdsworth, ngawini, Keating)
If trex didn't sign for 600k people would say he is doing well. I think the price tag brought an expectation of something higher then what he is capable of. His highlight reel was solid at manly, but I am sure even there he had off games.
He hasn't been bustling while at the dogs. Hasn't been our best. But he isn't the reason we lose. He hasn't won us any games but hasn't lose us any either.
At time he sends players flying. I think it's still too early to call him a dud buy. He will be solid for us.
