Statistics show that Golden boots Keith Barnes was the best. I liked our bloke George Taylforth He could kick from our side of half way. And remember in those days footballs were made of leather . Eric Simms from souths also was pretty dam good. Old memories that most on here would not know about.. It was nice having Hazem kicking cause you new every try was going to be converted. Shocked when he actually missed one. Now thats a kicker.

There is only 1 player who I have seen kick the ball 100m over the posts i.e. taking the kick on his own line. The great Hazem El Masri!

It's not even a competition - Halligan. Goalkicking was a nice-to-have and guys just used to practice a bit after training until Halligan. He spent more time and effort perfecting the kicking. Without him there is no El Masri.

Halligan is the goat. Changed the standard for ever, took them from anywhere and kicked the one that really counted from the sideline v Parra in 1998.

Was Halligan and then El Masri. I just wish Hasem had those other 3 years or so kicking, his record would've never been beaten.

El Magic best for dogs and probably one of the best ever followed by Halligan

Ross Conlon great kicker for his time, I would say he was the man that changed kicking styles even before chook

Daryl Halligan was the Master who taught most of the top goal kickers the art of kicking !!!
Hazem El Masri was his best apprentice.

Hazem and Halligan are hard to split. Both won a GF with us, both won us games simply by their kicking, both broke record after record, both were very loyal. I can't split them.

Let's just say I'm glad I got to enjoy them both playing for our team in a period spanning 15 years!
