Sporting News have picked it up and are reporting on it.

Storm winger Suliasi Vunivalu could be in strife with the Match Review Committee after awkwardly twisting Nick Meaney's leg at AAMI Park on Sunday.

The tackle was clearly complete when Vunivalu spun his body on the ground with Meaney's leg in his hands in the 10th minute.

The Bulldogs fullback was left grimacing in pain and looked up to the referee for a penalty but his case went unanswered.

Fortunately, Meaney walked away without an injury despite getting up limping, providing energy in attack after an impressive club debut last week.

The referees and commentary team missed the incident, but it didn't get past the eye of outraged fans.

That was a dog act by Vunivalu. He will be copping a charge from that. Unnecessary twisted Meaneys leg after tackle was complete.. #NRLStormBulldogs

What a grub Vunivalu is, no need for what he did to Meaney. #NRLStormBulldogs

Called it in another thread, the Sudanese winger did it and it was right in front of the refs, too.

It's the Coach. Bellamy has invented all of them, chicken wing, crusher, diving at the legs, what were the real early ones again?

Edit: Wishbone, Ripper tackle.... wow I typed in "Melbourne Storm dangerous tackles" and the internet rolls on for ages!

And the worst part is that refs have been letting them away with murder for ever now.

NRL seriously needs to talk to the storm and refs about some techniques. That death role along with those headlocks in the ruck need to go.

His test will be when captain whinging dirty **** finally retires, then let's see what he can do....apart from coaching his players to be dirty wrestling *****.

It was a similar tackle that broke Pat O’Hanlon leg/ankle in 2014 finals. Fucken scum of a club.

The Bundaberg front-rower is the forgotten man of Canterbury’s premiership charge, his season ended by a compound leg fracture against Melbourne in the first week of the finals which was so sickening that Channel Nine refused to show a replay.

The grub got charged and will miss a game even with a early guilty plea.
