Using exclamation mark (!) in a sentence - is this rude?

well, other punctuations dont confuse you as much as exclamation. that was the whole point.

I am not sure how to take her comment, "my job is to find external ones!!" should i be offended by it, take it as a smart arse comment or just a normal comment.

Now if she wants to emphasize a point she can make it on bold, but exclamation mark i was always told is put at end if you want to say out loud.

2 exclamation marks !! thats almost as satisfying as slamming down the handset of a landline.

My previous company used to offer $ 5000 to their own employees, if they refer a successful candidate for a any vacant position.

Most firms in my industry will offer something internally for referrals - whether they are strictly structured usually depends on size of firm. Larger firms will have distinct set rewards. $5K is lot cheaper than what a recruiter makes.

I once had a recruiter who specialised in Accounting jobs seeing if I knew anyone who was looking for work as he had roles etc, and that as an incentive, he would offer me a $750 gift card. $750 on a $20k+ commission! I told him he had to do better than that.

Referring someone carries its own risk - its your reputation on the line if your referral does't work out. I have very rarely gone there, many fewer times than I could have.
