Happens every so often. The US runs out of money, so they raise the debt ceiling. Eventually they will no longer be able to borrow and that will be the end of the US. So instead they raise the debt ceiling and use that to pay off their debts and print more money.

The alternative is that they don't raise the debt ceiling and instead default. If they do that, the US will likely collapse overnight.

US has always been primarily responsible for inflation. But it's many factors. US mismanagement of their economic system. Covid-19. War in Ukraine. Many other factors.
