One of the people who served jail time for taking part in the US Capitol riot four years ago has refused a pardon from President Donald Trump, saying: "We were wrong that day."

Pamela Hemphill, who pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 60 days in prison, told the BBC that there should be no pardons for the riot on 6 January 2021.

"Accepting a pardon would only insult the Capitol police officers, rule of law and, of course, our nation," she said.

"I pleaded guilty because I was guilty, and accepting a pardon also would serve to contribute to their gaslighting and false narrative."

Trump's ambassador to the UN basically said that the Bible gives Israelis the right to take over all of the West Bank. Trump's involvement in the ceasefire was purely a PR thing.

That’s why in recent days I have seen numerous examples where not only were they put away, but were given sentences that they could never outlive. I’m talking 150 years etc.

Just happened to g9 down a rabbit hole of death row inamtes recently lol. Sure these people are generally guilty of killing more than one person, but the fact is, even for the crimes they’ve been convicted of, the sentencing is some of the harshest.

Donny’s main reasoning is that murderers don’t get put away there, so why keep the rioters in jail? It’s simply untrue. Actually in many cases people are put away for murders based on the scantest of evidence e.g: Toforest Johnson. He’s been on death row for 26 years based almost entirely on the evidence of a person who claimed she overheard him admit it via a 3 way prison call. I think she was a girl at the time. Now a grandmother and apparently (by her own grandkids’ accounts) will do anything for money.

Maybe someone can tell me why ALL news channels do this. This was FLAFOTUS being asked a q about the Jan 6 pardons. Pretty simple q.
