Brief summation of what Greenberg said:

- The club has money within the cap to purchase players to come join the club in 2011. The Melbourne saga has stopped the majority of the NRL clubs recruitment and now that it seems sorted we can move on and identify which players to pursue.

- Todd talked about the potential recruits:
+ Reni Maitua - as discussed in the Telegraph, an approach was made by Reni and his manager, Kevin and Todd will sit down and discuss what options are available for him in 2011
+ Greg Eastwood - team definitely missed him this year and sorely disappointed to see him leave at the end of last year. The club will wait and see what happens and seek if they can grab Greggy at the right price pending the transfer bounty Leeds have placed.
+ Adam Blair - as announced today he is under contract with the Storm and will stay there
+ Willie Mason - refuted and denied rumours that Willie would join the club next year

- Todd said the under 20s competition is working to an extent but stressed that the development of these players were lacking as they needed a stronger reserve grade comp.

- He said that Alan Thompson was working on a pathways program to identify the best talent coming through the ranks within our juniors e.g. under 16s, 18s, 20s and NSW Cup. A significant investment has been made to the NSW Cup comp and he also mentioned that this investment will shine through down the track.

Great!!!! So! We arnt getting Blair... We are possibly going to miss out on Eastwood... & we are possibly going to sign a 28 year old who hasnt touched a footy in 2 years (and who was below average in the last 2 years that he played). Well done Bulldogs the people involved in recruitment & retention need a good uppercut to the chin..... But seriously WTF is going on?? why cant we attract any decent talent??

Think you can do a better job?Apply for the job or tell us who you think we should recruit and give reasons obviously has to be someone off contract can't be blair, manu or eastwood cause their coachs are playing hard ball and want to retain them

Sounded like a positive interview. Todd just told it how it is. I don't mind us taking time developing our juniors if we can once again claim that we are "bred not bought".

Forgot to add Greenberg did say he is still waiting for Noddy to make up his mind on his future. And as stated many times in the media, no pressure has been placed on him to make a decision as he deserves the right to make it on his terms.

And Bobcat's wage will come under the long serving player allowance the NRL has recently introduced. So basically his wage will not count much towards the main salary cap.
